but yeh this is like actual date aka bricks being shat because i usually just go out informally with groups of friends etc and isolate girls when out- not actually meet up one on one

yea, dates are scary - there is no safety net

with friends you can at least talk to someone else when conversations run dry or go awry but with a date the chick is like right in front of you

cant just walk out

That's what restrooms are for and when you go, find a waiter/waitress and order another bottle of wine or (if you dont want to spend much more) hard liquor and by the time you get back hopefully she's more drunk to talk about her boobs and ass.
