National League Home Run Derby captain David Wright raised some eyebrows when he selected Michael Cuddyer for his squad.
Cuddyer isn't a big name and doesn't place among the NL home run leaders. With Carlos Gonzalez also named, he is the second Colorado player on the four-man squad.
Wright revealed on Sportscenter that he grew up near Cuddyer in Chesapeake, Va., and admitted that it was a bit of a buddy pick.
