Ron Artest is available

Lakers will use the amnesty clause on Ron Artest. Do you guys want him? Great defender, solid 3-point shooter at age 33. His body is still strong as a bull. Rockets can have an extra weapon to bang Kevin Durant in the playoff.

Someone will place a bid for him ( probably Dallas, ugh), and Houston doesn't have the cap space to make one themselves. It's not happening, even if one ignores the fact that Les doesn't like Artest and the whole Harden elbow thing. Shame though, because I do have a soft spot for him.
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

I would take him for the vet min (only thing the Rox have to offer), as long as his contract has a provision that he must be on time and wear pants for all team activities.

I liked Artest when he was here but he was also a ball stopper and had some behind the scenes issues. He's not as good a player anymore so Im not convinced he's worth the trouble. Oh, and he also said he'd rather live on Skid Row than live in Houston again. On second thought, Metta can go suck somewhere else.

I don't think Leslie Alexander wants to acquire a guy who ran on his bus to the conference finals with only his jock strap, cause he missed the other two buses.

I don't think James Harden wants to play with a guy who gave him a concussion.

I don't think I would enjoy rooting for a guy who is a shell of his old self, a distraction off the court and plays fast and loose with his elbows and knees when he's on the court.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't even pick Ron Artest to run with at the Y.

No to the only guy on that Lakers team that is guaranteed to bring 'it' every night, because he's a douche bag, and douche bags purport their craft with a healthy serving of bad karma.

So no, no to Ron.

Wouldn't shock me to see Morey go after him. Only as a PF though. The Lakers played the best defense in the league after the break with Dwight at center and Artest at PF.

Ha! We'd have our 6'7" power forward slot back. The fanbase would be ecstatic, no doubt.
Morey 2020.
