Good article about this. Agreed 100% on the mechanics, which were a disaster the last couple years. The sidearm **** needs to stop.

Should be good for the cap this and next year, but I find the length interesting. It means one of two things in my mind:
1) We don't think he is necessarily our guy, which is why we didn't make him a lion for life.
or (and more likely)
2) We are giving him a shot to prove he is the man, then he will get one more mega deal that will keep him here until he retires. So far he had one monster year, and the rest were so so.
