TBH I always think Bargnani would be a very good player next to Dwight, but 1. he is too expensive 2. he just got traded.
Imagine the spacing
Lin
Harden
Parson
Bargnani
Howard

And then he can catch a romantic movie with Chandler Parsons during the weekend. What a life.
Picking us was the easiest choice he made.
How about playing frisbee with Morey at Hermann park on weekends? That was my best celeb encounter in Houston.

Re: Dwight chooses to sign with Houston
Not surprised he chose to sign with us. LAL is different without Jerry Buss. I told all my friends last season that the Pringles hiring was a bad move. Turns out it cost them the best C in the game as well.
If you were in Howard's shoes, you can see why he chose Houston. Harden is not on Kobe's level in terms of global status and he doesn't want to be Kobe's disciple. He rather be the man in HOU. Coach McHale, a big man with great footwork in his day is a better fit for him personally over Mike D limited post opportunities style of play.
Parsons did a great job courting him and I have always loved watching him. He is definitely in line for a big raise. I wanted him on Philly. If we keep Asik, this is going to be the best C 1-2 punch in the league. I'm optimistic the coaching staff will find a way to keep both of them happy in regards to playing time.
Morey is such a GOD GM. Totally transformed the Rockets roster and now I think have a lethal 1-2 punch in D12-Harden and very talented supporting role players like Lin and Parsons. On any given night, these two guys can play like a very capable third option and form a BIG 3. I'm hoping it's Lin. He is going to have fun throwing lobs to Dwight and making a living off his picks. After rounding out the roster with some FA additions, this team is definitely in the contender conversation. GO ROCKETS!!

Hi, OKC fan here.
I was just curious what the starting lineup will look like for Houston with Dwight in now.
Appearently they are not trading Asik, so to me it would make sense to play both him and Dwight starter minutes.
Dwight is as quick as pretty much any PF in the league, so Rockets could afford to have a 2nd version of the Twin Towers.
What the other option? Let Thomas Robinson start at 4??
Lin/Harden/Parsons/Dwight/Asik seems to be a very nice starting 5 to me.

Re: Dwight chooses to sign with Houston
lakers have only themselves to blame. They didnt know how to use howard , dantoni didn't know how. and an aging kobe was always hogging the ball away from howard. Nash is way past his prime. That may be kobe's style but he never wanted to integrate his game with a dominant big man. Now the laker whiners want howard back and call him names. It came down to bad coaching and not being used as a dominant center the right way. Watch harden and parsons and lin with howard and you'll see why he made that move. Rockets will play a team game. Dantoni just let kobe do whatever he wanted. Which was pathetic. Only one coach knows how to handle kobe and thats phil jackson. And that was when kobe was still kobe. He's a shadow of his former self.

Is OKC going to sign a new sixth man or is Jeremy Lamb going to take KMart's place?

Mr. E Dwight is going to get fat. chowing down at the Breakfast Club. I hang my head in shame for never eating there, yet.
Stren is pissed the Lakers just got screwed and fined the Rockets $150,000 big ones. Weaksauce!

robinson got traded
if we dont get a starting 4 then we'll be experimenting on the starting 4. dwight and asik, tjones, or dmo. hopefully not parsons or garcia.
there has to be more roster changes tho. we still need a starting pf and another backup wing that has size, can run the floor, and defend.
a starting 4 is hard to get now, so we can just keep asik and trade him at the deadline, get his value up. but the backup wing cannot wait.

Ronnie Brewer
Xavier Henry

Wesley is probably a better shooter, but corey and ronnie are very good defenders....dont know much about Xavier.

Xavier Henry was considered a top 10 prospect coming out of high school. He's got NBA range, good stroke, very good nba body coming out of college.
But he has no real handles, all he can do is shoot and he's not even that great at it last year. He'll wash out of the league. Bust. Do not want.

look like we are going to waive anderson and ohlbrect
so we can sign howard to the max contract and still have left over to sign canaan to 4 years deal

yeah, anderson and ohlbrect were factored in as being waived to give howard the max assuming we traded robinson and white which we did...since the cap is 58.7mil instead of 58.3mil, i guess canaan will get like the leftover $$

Beverley already tweeted that he is switching to 21, his number at Arkansas. Howard will get 12.
12 Howard + 13 Harden = 25 Parsons

i thought nba changed the rule
you have to submit number change (without changing team) before season end

Well Morey had been chasing Howard for so long it would not surprise me if he had Beverley fill out the paperwork back in March before the deadline. You know just in case.
Or maybe Beverley is being traded.
