Turkoglu

Looks like he will be available soon. I know he's well past his prime, but I recall he used to be able to shoot. Wonder what he is expecting for a contract?

No thanks. We have enough SF's. We need a quality backup SG now.

We need shooters at both SF and SG.

Both Middleton and Singler are quality 3 point shooters at SF. I think we are deep at that position. However, at SG we have KCP, who is a good shooter, but after that we are left with Stuckey or another player playing out of position (BK, Singler, Middleton).

I can't see Detroit in the market for another SF after signing Datome. Unless they just vastly outbid every other team that had interest in him I assume that they had to give him some sort of guarantee for playing time to get him to go there. Combine that with the minutes Smith is going to get at SF (and maybe SIngler too) and there's no room for Turkoglu. Besides, is he really a significant upgrade at this point in his career over what the Pistons have now? I highly doubt it. They can afford to gamble on a backup like Datome right now since they're not going to be contending for a title. He's got a lot more upside than Turkoglu and that's the kind of risk that needs to be taken.

We have Datome, KMid, Singler, and heck, Smith (lolo).

We have too many forwards at this point. We need more SGs, unless Cheeks is going to run 2 PGs or something.
