I'd imagine Harris wanted to play.

He doesn't really play down there a whole lot, so I doubt it has much of any effect in the big picture.

Burke halftime stats: 7pts, 3/10 fg, 1/3 3pt, 0 ast, 3 to, 2 reb, 3 fouls in 11 minutes. The coach also chose not to let him finish the 2nd quarter.

Reggie Jackson set the Orlando summer league points in a game record today with 35.

Summer league is summer league and we can't (or shouldn't) take much from these games. However, I wasn't sold on Burke before the draft and I can't say that these results weren't a bit expected. Hopefully these are just jitters he can shake off.

As for our own guy, I wasn't overly excited about Oladipo either. I have been happy with how he has been getting to the free throw line and his defense has been every bit as good as advertised. I really hate him at PG as he clearly isn't comfortable with the ball in his hands that much. He seems to really punish the defense when he plays off the ball and hits a catch and one dribble move. Overall he seems to be the player I expected him to be... just a slightly better version than I gave him (pre-draft) credit for.

One thing to consider is the way that Jackson played today for OKC. He has found a place in the league and showed what he can do today. While he left the game early against us yesterday, Oladipo more than held his own against Jackson. An obscure, but promising sign.

Well, well well got home from work and come home to another solid Dipo performance. Seeing quite a few doubters starting to warm up to him. That being said its only summer league but if anything it gives us a preview of what his strengths and weaknesses. It's becoming more and more apparent that his weaknesses may not be so weak.

He still has a lot of work to do but you got to admit he has solid foundation. All he has to do now is improve and you know he will. Just LOVE the fact that he likes to attack, how long has it been since we had one of those guys?

One problem though, well at least it's a problem for me. He needs big minutes this upcoming season is a backup role enough?

To be fair, those were his halftime stats. He finished with even worse stats: 11 pts, 5/15 fg, 1/6 3pt, 2 ast, 4 to, 0 stl, 2 reb, and 5 fouls in 25 minutes.

Got to love this guy's mindset, Dipo's comments on his turnover woes......

``I’ve got to cut down on the turnovers or my last name is going to change from Oladipo to Mr. Turnover,’’ he said with a chuckle. ``I’ve got to fix that, definitely.’’ Oladipo said he would also attack his struggles with the best way he knows how – hard work. His work ethic at Indiana University was legendary what with his willingness to work before and after practices and even on off days. Even with the Magic scheduled to be off on Wednesday, Oladipo said he planned to find a gym to get up shots and do ball-handling drills.

``I’ll be in the gym, shoot some shots, work out and try to get some rest after that,’’ he said. ``I know that they want us to take a break, but I just have to keep that rhythm going. Again, it’s a whole new position for me and I’ve got to put some type of work in so I can be confident going into there on Thursday.’’

Players that have really caught my eyes over the last couple days are Dwight (cringe) Buycks and Miles Plumlee. They have definitely shown a lot in this summer league. If Oklahoma does not extend a contract to Buycks....I'm down to give him a solid look at a point guard spot. And i loved Plumlee's athleticism and activity on the court. he's everywhere making them hustle plays....rebounding, putting back, blocking shots.

well, if AA is still here, as the main backup PG and then backup SG playing with Jameer, he could still be the primary ball handler and let Meer play off the ball.
