Hopefully he gets his chance to start. I wish him luck on the season next year except against Indy.

Re: Hansbrough to Raptors on 2 year deal
Raptor fan here. A lot of us on our side of the board are up in arms about this signing. Not liking it one bit.
Me, personally, I think he's one of those guys that "you hate to play against, but love to have on your team". So I come here asking, what should we expect? How's his impact on his teammates? Is he a "dirty" player?

Re: Hansbrough to Raptors on 2 year deal
no, he's not a dirty player. he just plays hard. whenever he got a chance to start he did well but he just never got used to coming off the bench. he really needs to develop a left hand move and he knows it.

looks like he's taking a pretty good pay cut. wonder if we have room under the tax to convert it to a S&T for Camby?

He still has a shot being a 15-7 guy on 45% if he starts.

Re: Hansbrough to Raptors on 2 year deal
I'll miss Tyler, sure he wasn't the best player by any means, but I still think he has a bit of potential to get better (if he can get his jumper working properly). The thing I'll miss most is his relentless character and pursuit of any ball, never mind the fact that he has an inate ability to really piss the opponent off which at times is priceless!

Re: Hansbrough to Raptors on 2 year deal
Great move for Raptors. They had Bargnani, a guy with all the natural talent in the world but who never gave full effort or cared that much, and they got rid of him and got Hansbrough, a guy without a ton of natural talent, but who gives full effort at all times.
upgrade, in my opinion.

okay, Green for Camby. we can make the Knicks/Raptors trade a three way if we hurry.

Yeah, but the guy he defends will put up 25, if he can hit free throws.

Yes, this would fiscally work. Cambys 2014 salary is only $1m guaranteed as well.

Re: Hansbrough to Raptors on 2 year deal
and Camby has reportedly said he'd rather be on a contender than the Raptors. I've sold myself on trying to get him. he rebounds. he blocks shots. he wants a ring. he is old enough to accept limited minutes in the regular season saving himself for the playoffs. he doesn't cost more than Green. what's not to like?

Raptors fan here... I've always kind of appreciated what Tyler brought to the Pacers, even in limited minutes.
The hero worship he'll get in Toronto from all the hockey fans and fake "blue collar" guys will be on another level though... Just thinking about it makes me kinda nauseous.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Camby for Green. Camby likely wont play two more seasons. Which is ideal for the Pacers who will need the cap space going into 2014 with George and Stephenson. He also wont command a lot of minutes during the season; which will allow the young guy's to grow during the season. He can be an insurance policy on the 4/5 spot. The team has every kind of possible wing player needed with Stephenson, George, Granger, Solo, Johnson, and even George Hill will play some minutes at the two. A guy like Camby could possibly be like an additional coach and teach Plumlee and Mahinmi some things.
