YES!!! We have the best front court in the league. We also have one of the worst backcourts but we are also pretty deep. 7-8th seed.

Yes. Some really great defensive teams are perennial losers in the playoffs. Indiana and Memphis for example.

Indiana is a team that has dealt with shoddy point guard play, thus turning the ball over quite often.

Memphis hasn't been a great three point shooting team by any stretch, and they punch their post-season ticket.

Detroit will land the 8th seed at best right now. However they're likely to be swept in the first round.

Nope, if Knight start at PG we'll pick around 8-10th again.

if siva started for this team he would average 6ppg 9apg 2-2.5spg 1.5-2 turnovers per gameHe would shoot a horrible 3pt%, but a decent field goal % roughly around 40-45%

Yes, I think we are a playoff team right now. Which teams will make the playoff in the East?? Heat, Nets, Pacers, Knicks, Bulls are locks. So that leaves 3 spots wide open.

I'd say yes I think we are a playoff team, being able to erase some shots on defense will help, also being able to wipe the boards clean like we should, means that only the really effient offensive teams will give us a lot of problems, so we should be able to sneak in as the 7th or 8th seed, and hopefully give us something to build on for future years.

I'd like to think we're a playoff team, but I wouldn't put money on it yet.

Siva was a 40% field goal shooter scoring 9.5 per game as a junior/senior in college. He cannot score. He would be lucky to shoot 35% in a full NBA season as a starting pg. He may develop into a decent rotational guy but he would get destroyed starting as a rookie.

I think we will be fighting for the 7th/8th seed and ultimately end up 7th. Better than us for sure:

Miami, NY, Indiana, Brooklyn, Chicacgo

Probably worse: Bucks, 76ers, Raps(Wiggins tanking?), Cleveland, Charlotte, Celtics

Leaving the Wiz, Hawks, Magic and us fighting for the other 3 spots. I think the Magic will tank hard, same with Hawks especially if they lose Teague. Ultimately I think it ends up:

1 Heat
2 Brooklyn
3 Indiana
4 Chicago
5 New York
6 Washington
7 Pistons
8 No idea

If that was the standings and the playoffs started today, I'd like our odds. Not saying we could beat Brooklyn but they're old. I think we could at least push them to a hard fought 6 games.

Yes, easily. Our defense will be top 5 and I think our backcourt will surprise. I think we will be a 6th seed. The east is looking really good all of a sudden. I'm so fired up for this season.

I thought we'd make the playoffs this year even before we signed JSmooth. We'll make it easily. This looks about right, although I think we are as good as the Wizards.

I definitely think Cleveland is better than us. If the hawks get Jennings and another fa, I think they are too. I see us in the low lotto again barring another trade.

Cleveland is as close to intentional tanking as it gets. They will come up with some random injury for Kyrie.

Miami, Indy, Nets, Knicks, Bulls are as close to locks as you get.

Cleveland isn't tanking this year, if they get a healthy Bynum they are a no doubt playoff team. They can't tank tis year as its a big year for getting Kyrie to sign long term and they are in danger of falling well behind the Browns & Indians for the limited entertainment dollars I'm Cleveland.

Washington looks to have everything in place to take the step forward.

Milwaukee could be interesting if they replace Ellis-Jennings with Teague-Mayo and get another year of development from Sanders-Ilyasova-Henson.

Rondo-Green-Wallace-Bass-Lee may be enough to keep Boston in the mix.

Orlando has an interesting array of young talent (Vucevic/Harris/Harkless/Oladipo) and vets (Afflalo/Nelson/Big Baby) that wouldn't be shocking to see compete for a playoff spot.

ATL, Charlotte & Toronto have all acquired enough talent to surprise.

Long story short I think 9 teams all have shots at finishing 6-8 and I only see Philly standing out as not having a playoff scenario.
