hendo jumped from #27 to #21 from my prev rankings to today. if he adds better 3pt shooting he can crack top 15 next year. if not, he slides down due to inevitable climb of younger guys.

I think you have Ginobli, Evans, Reddick, Crawford, and Tony Allen all ranked too high. Ginobli isnt the player he used to be, Evans lacks shooting and D, Reddick is a nonfactor on defense and still struggles when handling the ball, Crawford puts up big stats in meaningless situations and does so innefficiently, and Allen is a great defender but his offense is so inept that he often hurts his team more than he helps. Also, Joe Johnson is probably too high on that list.

Interesting to see him working at at TWC.

Hope he keeps that shaved head, hides his ugly hairline. He looks good with it.

Hendo is going to beast next season.

I don't think Kobe deserves to be a tier above Harden and George anymore. Kobe and Harden are basically the same all-offense, no-defense guys and I don't think Harden is any worse than Bryant at scoring (how did the stat go? Harden, I think, was top3 in free throws made and three pointers made.. that's smart and efficient basketball).

Then there could be a sub-tier between tiers 1 and 2 for Wade whose performance depends on his health. And Paul George definitely belongs on tier 1. Call me crazy, but I'd rather have him on my team than any other of those guards.

hendo is running out of options fast. any chance one of the teams that misses out on ellis makes a run at hendo?

our options to replace hendo are also running dry.

its looking more likely that hendo stays on the QO and becomes a UFA next summer. That would not be the worst thing in the world, unless hendo blows up this year and comes back with a much improved 3pt shot.

i would love to offer him a 3 year 18 mil deal with the last year having a player option. if he blows up he can opt out in 2 years and get paid. if he doesn't he should be happy to make 6 mil in that 3rd year before fading into a backup role for the rest of his career.

I think Charlotte may end up retaining Henderson on the 1-year QO tender. That might be best for both sides, especially the Bobcats/Hornets

With him running out of options fast it does look more and more likely that Hendo will stay on the QO and I'm happy about that. I want to see him do what he did for the last few months over the course of the whole season. Now, if he does that (and improves his three pointer even more) we can give him those 7 million per year.

Rick Bonnell @rick_bonnell
Higgins and Cho are scheduled to speak with Gerald Henderson's representatives today. Don't know that this phone contact is a big thing.

5 million per year??? Major overpay, considering he'll likely be a third stringer behind Martin and Shved.

Also...

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 1h
Cody Zeller signs his rookie contract with the Bobcats.

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 1h
Jefferson signing done.

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 58m
Also official Bobcats have amnestied Tyrus Thomas.

HOOPSWORLD ‏@HOOPSWORLD 8h
NBA Salary Cap $58.679 Million for 2013-14

Cap is about $600k higher then expected, not much but noteworthy. Also noteworthy is that there's no mention of a McBob signing yet - probably because it looks like we simply can't with Hendo's cap hold (and based on my numbers, releasing Adrien wouldn't help that). I've got us at about $1.6m under the cap with Hendo's cap hold and McBob's deal outstanding, so we'd need Hendo to take a little under $6.7m his first year (not per year, first year can be lower) in order to officially sign McBob. Don't see any way we give Ellis anything close to what he wants (barring S&T).

Only guy left on the free agent SG list I wouldn't mind adding in CHA is Gary Neal

@GhJr09: @ThatboyBTaylor improve 3pt. post game. passing.

The above was Gerald's answer to a fan on what he needs to improve on to be a better player. Good for him.

Agreed but that's a normal signing for the Wolves no matter whose running the show there.

Ready to move on from Hendo unless he will sign for 5mil per.

Ben Gordon can serve as a more than capable starter next season. No reason to overpay Hendo and he obviously isn't liking the kind of numbers we are talking about. Really hard to have him and MKG on the same floor when I think they do a lot of the same things or will once MKG settles in a little more.

i have a feeling that taylor would be the guy getting the starts, not gordon. been hearing a lot of good things about taylor recently. clifford spoke very highly of him today in an interview i heard.

You know that never crossed my mind. He has good size and is a great compliment to Kemba IMO. I can definitely see a Taylor starts the game and Gordon come in at some point in the 1st depending how Taylor is playing

Two more day til Summer League!

Btw this RealGM iOS app is a piece of hot garbage. Anyone else use it? I got a notification about the response and it sent me back to page 29 of this thread.
