What is the Hawks salary cap status?

Post#1 » by JES12 » Mon Jul 8, 2013 3:40 am

I don't see many salary sites with up to date info, so here is what I know. Any help would be appreciated:

$12,000,000 (Horford)
$9,500,000 (Milsap +/-)
$5,400,000 (Korver)
$5,225,000 (Williams)
$2,500,000 (Carroll +/-)
$1,258,800 (Jenkins)
$1,208,400 (Cunningham)
$1,419,200 (Nogueira cap hold)
$1,348,200 (Schroeder cap hold)
$100,000 (Tyler dead cap space)

$39,959,600 for 9 players.

Did I miss anybody? Also, does anyone have more exact numbers on Milsap and Carroll?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Edited to add Korver (thanks parson)

Jason Walker is pretty good at peachtree hoops.

You forgot Kyle Korver.

Thank you. I thought I was missing someone. Also, I just realized that Demare Carrol could be signed via the room-MLE if signed last.

$5,400,000 (Korver, may be closer to $5.3 mil)

Hi ;-)
Korver first year can't be less than 05,393,258

I'm trying to keep it simple and up to date in the sticked Hawks Salaries Information thread.

There was also this thread to discuss what we can do with the remaining room : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1261750

Thanks for pointing that out to me. For some reason, I had 8.5% raises in my head, but it is 7.5%. That is where I went wrong with Korver's salary.

According to Jason Walker (Peachtree Hoops), this is our present situation : http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2013/7/10 ... anta-hawks
The Hawks still have around 9M left to offer a free agent, and have the rights to Jeff Teague, Ivan Johnson and Tolliver.

I thought I heard we were renouncing Ivan and I just knew we weren't keeping Tolliver. Add to these 2 that we have not released DeShawn Stephenson and I'm thinking we're not adding any expensive FAs.

But Ferry doesn't need to renounce everyone, until he really needs to do.
It doesn't mean he will, but there's a chance he will.

Ok, with Teague's offer sheet at roughly $8 mil per, what are the options? Can we sign someone before matching and go over the cap?

I think we can. The 8 mil right now affects the Bucks' cap not ours, I'm sure we can sign a FA right now and then go over the cap

He still count for 6M in ATL numbers.
We can sign someone for at least 10M, then match him.
If we match first, he will count for 8M, so we will have 2M less of room.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
