GeryWoelfel
All indications point toward Jeff Teague becoming a Milwaukee Buck.

GeryWoelfel
Hawks feel strongly about rookie Dennis Schroeder going forward.

GeryWoelfel
Hawks and Bucks talks about a S&A with Teague never got any traction.

Yeah, the Hawks beat writer is saying that he talk to Teague and he is saying that Hawks wont match it and they will go with Schroeder in the future. I think you might hear rumblings about Al Horford next.

I agree. In all respect, I think people should "stfu" and see what this Bucks team has in store. That roster looks like a bunch of guys who could overachieve and surprise a lot of people and in a typically weak ass Eastern Conference, I don't see all the hate. Teague>decent, Mayo=same, Delfino=give or take, same with Iyllasova, Sanders=one of the best and underrated. but Ridnour and Henson off the bench is gonna be what potentially gives some opponents headaches. Define 6/7 seed. Hope Mayo goes for 20 ppg.

You're missing the point nobody is saying the Bucks cant challenge for the 7 or 8 seed the point is the Bucks have been doing that for years..what is the point of continually staying in mediocrity? thats the worst place you can be in the nba

The only chance of a team like the Bucks landing a great player is to get a high pick in a great draft..this was the year to blow it up and be bad

Atlanta should probably match. Maybe Atlanta wants Andrew Wiggins really bad.

I don't see what's wrong with this deal, or their other signings so far.

Better than being a joke of a team.

This free agency showed we can't attract top free agents...yet. We need a superstar in the draft to draw free agents here. I really hope the Hawks do NOT match because Teague is simply average. We need to start the rookie and tank. Get a high lottery pick and hope this draft lives up to all the hype.

We won't get a top pick with Horford/Millsap/Korver/Lou Will

That's why I think Ferry will trade Millsap and Korver by the trading deadline.

the Hawks wouldn't match the Bucks offer for Teague, this would leave Jennings with no home. Since Dallas is already set with their PGs, essentially the only bidder left is the Hawks, so couldn't the Hawks get Jennings now dirt cheap. like $4 million a year on a short term contract?

Doubt he'd sign for long term for so little, even if its all that's out there right now. He'd be better off signing his qualifying offer for the one year and then hitting unrestricted free agency next year. He'd probably do better without the prospect of having his offer matched next year.

Oh please god. Anything you want Atlanta. Anything. Charlotte pick, Mirotic, Taj, my sister. Whatever.

Atlanta handing the keys over to Schroeder? Tank for Wiggins.

It's aight

Ferry could decline to match the offer sheet and then get Jennings for cheap MLE type money

They just have to wait and try and swing some of their collection of mediocre players plus draft picks for a high level player who maybe is disgruntled or something, or whose team can no longer pay him.

Once he signs that offer sheet he can't be signed and traded. He's either a Buck by straight up free agency (no sign and trade... so no Jennings, Ellis or TPE for Atlanta) or a Hawk by being matched. I'm actually really surprised because I thought Atlanta would want to get Ellis or Jennings and this would've made it very easy (at least in Jennings' case). I'd let him go if I was Atlanta, Teauge is a nice player but he's an average starting PG and this is too much money for that.

At least with Jennings you have that special scoring ability that gives him a little more potential IMO. Maybe Atlanta didn't work out a sign and trade because they think they can get Jennings from an offer sheet now that Milwaukee has a new PG.

I understand the signing from MIL's perspective since they supposedly don't want to tank...what I don't understand is if ATL does NOT match. Why pick Milsap, and resign Korver unless your intention is to compete? ATL more than MIL should just blow it up. Horford is being wasted on that roster.
