Philly has made it clear that Michael Young is on the trade market, IMO this would be the perfect pickup for the Yankees.
He's always been a solid player that hits for average
He can hold down 3B which has been the worst producing position for the Yankees
He's 36 and will be a free agent after this year so the asking price won't be high
And who knows what's going to happen with A-Rod?? This guy might never see the field ever again.
And even if A-Rod does come back, Michael Young can play 1B or DH every now and then since he's a righty and Overbay & Hafner are lefties.
