Any interest?
Apparently the Bobcats aren't giving him the kind of contract he wants and are now exploring sign-and-trade options.
I think that with most of the pure shooters pretty much gone from the market, I think he would be a good choice. He could push Prince out of the starting SF job and he can take jumpers from anywhere. I think it's something we have to consider.

Re: Gerald Henderson
I don't really see how he'd fit on the team. Not too sure about having him as the starting SF since he is already considered undersized as a two-guard.
He's also asking for a lot of money. Somewhere in the $7.5-$8 million range per year.

Re: Gerald Henderson
A couple of things are working against the Grizz on acquiring Henderson.
1. He sees himself as a starter in this league (no qualms with that)
2. Henderson wants to get paid, so he is looking for a pay raise from the around 3 million he earned last season
(the team he played for last season and wanted him back is balking at his asking price - big hint there)
3. Henderson is not a SF so he would have to come off the bench, therefore how much is that worth and how does
that weigh against the production from Bayless/Poindexter and the less than 5 million combined you pay them?

Re: Gerald Henderson
Yeah I knew he wanted a raise, but didn't think he would value himself around the $8 milllion mark. I was thinking more like $5 million per year would be doable.
It's a shame, cos we really haven't done anything to fix our only glaring weakness..

I wouldn't mind Henderson, but at that range is a bit much. He been putting up numbers for a bad team in the Bobcats. On a playoff team, he'll best serve as a solid backup. If he's determine to be a starter, go back to the Cats.

I don't see how we have room for him, unless we are going to play Bayless primarily at PG (cringe), or if we're going to dump Tayshaun and be content to play Henderson or Allen some at the 3.
I'd much rather go after a PG who can knock down 3's or just let Wroten play. Henderson isn't good enough to move Bayless to PG IMO.
