Re: Breaking Down the Suns' PGs
Dragic being 6’4 is extremely generous…. Last time I heard he was 6’3 at best….
Marshall at over 6’4 is also a surprise… I thought he was 6’3….
If Dragic is indeed 6’4…. He could be moved to SG.
Marshall’s game style make him ideal PG at all times.
Suns may run a hybrid guard setup…
PG: Bledsoe / Marshall
SG/PG: Dragic / Goodwin
But in the long term, I don’t see each of each of them happy with 24-28 minutes a game each…
Marshall is the most likely trade candidate… Because Dragic can easily be 6th man and be the Sun’s Ginobili player… he plays like him already…. Might as well copy his role. Would be 6th man of the year candidate!
Goodwin/Bledsoe guard rotation allows a defensively capable setup with each of them taking charge as ball handler depending on the play Hornacek wants…
Need a mighty capable shooter at SF or PF though… need to spread the defense.
But… Bledsoe and Goodwin can easily work on their 3 pt range….

Re: Breaking Down the Suns' PGs
I enjoyed that read as well.
Basically it says our best roster is with Dragic as our pure point & Bledsoe playing best off the ball as a slasher/rebounder/defender. Goodwin needs time because he is very young and raw but could easily end up beating out Marshall for the backup spot once he's got his feet wet just due to his talent. Marshall is dead weight being an equally bad scorer and defender; yes he can pass but if everyone knows you want to pass everytime they simple play the passing lanes.
Marshall will probably split backup PG minutes with the Goodwin kid until he is acclimated then hopefully Marshall will rot on our bench until his contract expires or someone gets injured.

^Blows my mind as to why Shannon is still on the team. Those extra backup SG minutes for Goodwin would have been key. If we needed a chucker we can just use Beasley anyway.

Re: Breaking Down the Suns' PGs
I think Dragic is going to handle the ball a lot and how the nba is right now to actually placing a lables on players saying you are pg. and you are sg. is dead. But I did hear a quote from Jeff talking about them playing together and he mentioned "Bledso pushing the ball and Dragic spotting up". Since Dragic is the better shooter I think this would work best. So...... Bledso (Marshall)/ Dragic (Goodwin/Tucker)/ Butler (Tucker/Morris)/ Morris..Scola gets traded I think (Frye)/ Gortat (Len)

I think Marshall, with the way he finished the year when actually getting playing time is going to impress in Vegas with the summerleague team.
