Well, with Stone out, I guess the choices are:

1. Robinson
2. Udrih
3. Beaubois
4. Unknown guy

Whatever Masai decides to do here, I'm ok with, as long as he can still find a backup C better than Gray if he spends a bit more money on an established backup PG.

I'd love this but why? He's a 6th man scorer who basically loans his services out to competing teams every year and probably single handed won the Bulls a handful of games last year. He should go to Golden State or Houston, not here.

Did I say it did?

I said, he's better than Bikes. Which, unless you are simply trolling, is a fact.

Don't like this OR understand it, even from a non-tank angle.

I like the idea of an unproven like Bikes getting the backup spot.

He'd come because we are offering him money and other teams aren't? Robinson doesn't always go to top teams--he signed with the Knicks when they were very average (better than us, sure...but....)

I'd rather use the money on a better backup C, but this lineup could be a dunk contest in itself:

PG: Robinson
SG: Ross
SF: Derozan
PF: Gay
C: Johnson

Acy joining in off the bench.

What is there to understand?

Look. this guy is no Woj, so let me say with the caveat "if it happens..."

That said, I don't know of any team in the league who has ever had a d-league point guard ever run back-up point. Sure, some old Euro greats who have been looked upon as solid points for years overseas sometimes get a shot....but who does that?

I think the Raptors were the last to try with Soloman and that worked out peachy for us. If we are trying to win At ALL we need a competent backup--not a summer league tryout guy. That's reality.

Chicago Bulls Rumors @chicagobullsbot 9h Toronto Raptors are looking at signing Nate Robinson or Rodrigue Beaubois as their backup PG according to a source. (Source: Kevin Bryant)

Seems legit, no?

lol I actually want Nate on this team, we need that fire off the bench, plus he'd fit into the "tough guy" role and doesn't back down against anyone, so win win for us.

Unparalleled Professionalism. Unimpeachable Integrity. Boyish Charm.
Why do you besmirch this fine young lad's name?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Why is NO ONE in LV (ex// Ganter, Statmack etc etc) reporting this?

Why is a Bulls Rumour twitter account and someone that's never broken a story before coming up with this before our normal sources.

If we had a coach like Thibs, I wouldn't mind Nate. But I'm scared to think how Casey might use him. Stretch four?

Fair enough.

Meh, maybe we get lucky and it's true. I still think we are in the market for a competent point.
