Before the update, if somebody goes back to edit a post after someone had already posted then the word "edited" would show up on the bottom of said message. Now it appears that has changed. I can go back to edit my post as many times as i want and it would not be apparent to anyone.
is that by design or a bug?
With this change, one of my favorite realgm activity, those preseason prediction thread where we bump at the end of the season to see who got it closest will be meaningless.
Why this change?

Re: editing function change?
Also this is going to promote some very dishonest behavior especially on the general board. Posters can say one thing and then after being called out, go back edit the post and act like that never happened.
Its going to lead to alot of he said she said situation in the future. Why change it?
next person to reply after this message is a douchebag!! And smelly. But still cool because he is a global mod. and all that cool stuff.

Re: editing function change?
It's not been a huge issue and it's preferred for various reasons. Quote their post and the problem you outlined goes away. Meantime, very few people have the patience to hunt through old threads months and months old just to edit their own posts to avoid getting owned...

I'm curious as well. Not a fan of the change either.

Re: editing function change?
We decided that everyone should be able to feel comfortable editing their own posts without a notification appearing. There are some cases where it could potentially be abused, but overall it works out. As an admin, I can see the post history, so I'll call you out for changing your predictions
