In regards to the players/careers, do we take into account careers/achievements/primes before 1970 or only after 1970?

For example "Player A" has a career spanning from 1965 to 1976. As a gm and judge do I take into account what he did from 1965 to 1969 or only his career 1970 and onwards?

Good question.

We will take in to consideration a prime that began before 1970 as long as the player who is drafted made an All-Star appearance in 1970 or later. So like you said, if he was a stud in the mid-60's but did make an All-Star appearance in 1971, he is eligible. If a player appeared in the 1967, 68, & 69 All-Star games but never appeared in another after...even though he continued playing...he would not be eligible.

Minnesota Twolves

If not whichever team... (don't think it really matters?)

I've been in a gm fantasy league before, I can stay active.

Just to reclarify what I read. If a GM selects a player who is not eligible(due to not playing in an all-star 1970 onwards), does that mean for two hours the draft is frozen? Meaning the person right after the made pick would have to wait 2 hours before he can make his?

For example the player taken at Pick #1 is ineligible, does that mean Pick #2 cannot be made until 2 hours have passed regardless if it goes beyond the 6 hour time limit for Pick #1?

If a pick is made, the next owner is on the clock. Regardless of that player's eligibility.

The two hour window is strictly to give everyone an opportunity to call out a player for being ineligible. This is why there is a big emphasis on knowing that they actually stepped foot on the court during a game. Do a quick bit of research before you finalize a pick so that this does not happen. Also, before you try and declare someone else's pick ineligible, make sure you do your research as well.

NBA.com's history page is the way to go.

How are injuries factored in for a players prime?

It is certainly something everyone needs to take in to consideration. The judgement process is pretty subjective...but say...

-player x plays 4 amazing seasons where they the top talent in the league, but their prime is cut short due to injuries
-player y plays a career spanning 12 seasons and makes 8+ all star appearances - staying consistent throughout their prime

The question becomes who do you see as more valuable. Personally, I favor longevity but that is your call to make and everyone else's place to judge.
