In response to people who think this story is too outlandish, have you forgotten the whole Howard-SVG fiasco? Immediately after SVG said to the media that he knew Dwight asked for me to be fired, Howard tried to passively deny the story, change the subject by attacking the reporter who broke the story and then after realizing Stan did in fact tell reporters what had happened stumbled like a fool through the rest of the interview. This is perfectly inline with his character.
Side note, how perfect would it have been if Kobe would have told reporters he knew Howard wanted him off the team? When we fire D'Antoni, we should hire Stan.
