In regards to international players, are we only taking into account their NBA careers?

Yes - only impact on the NBA will be taken in to consideration.

If you have a preference...let me know. Otherwise I'll just give you a random team in a little bit.

It is certainly something everyone needs to take in to consideration. The judgement process is pretty subjective...but say...

-player x plays 4 amazing seasons where they the top talent in the league, but their prime is cut short due to injuries
-player y plays a career spanning 12 seasons and makes 8+ all star appearances - staying consistent throughout their prime

The question becomes who do you see as more valuable. Personally, I favor longevity but that is your call to make and everyone else's place to judge.

Well, that removes my favorite player from these games...

Its usually easier to just judge players by, say, a 2 year peak.

Like I said man, it is all subjective and for fun. While I will be judging every team that finishes this with us and saying which I think is the best...when I build my own team, I am going to be building the team that I want to see play. It will be cool if others agree and it gets some good votes but at the end of the day, I'm going to build my squad my way and worry about winning this game second. If you can make a case that your guy should have a big impact, then make the case.

Yea I'm not going to be judging with a magnifying glass to a guys injury history. If you pick a Greg Oden type then yea, but if Moses Malone had a few off years due to injury that I don't know about, I really don't think it matters.

And that's just it...everyone will have a different opinion and that is part of the fun/debate. I provided some guidelines and areas to judge...but after that, it is in your hands.

With 30 teams its almost inevitable we're going to lose some.

We've got 16 now, I'd almost be tempted to just cut it there.

In my experience with BATs, usually by the end of the draft you have about 6-8 GMs who disappear. Hopefully we can get a handful of people in.

I'd wait a little while. Although I'd prefer the cutoff to be Monday and the draft start on Tuesday. But that's just me.

This is what I was thinking. Things are filling up nicely right now but I will give it through the weekend and then cut it off.

Like I said in the OP, if we do come across an inactive GM, I won't hesitate to eliminate their team and any players they have drafted from the game all together.

We have a good number right now and will likely add another 4-5 more through the weekend. That will certainly keep people more engaged and active.

Yeah just a couple more and we'd have a good amount.

So to reclarify, application cutoff is Monday. Will the draft still start on Wednesday?
