I think PG3 might be the only Clippers fan who would like it. Glen Davis is a net negative and makes $6.6M, Brand would get a third or half of that, hit mid-range shots, rebound better and defend better, doesn't make sense

Omer Asik is being shopped, trade Bledsoe + Butler for Asik + Delfino instead of the other trades being thrown around?

Maybe DJ fighting for his starting position would be a good thing. Good big rotation to have as well.

Since we chose Barnes over Landry and there really aren't any bigs who can score still left on the market (unless we could pry Speights away) - what do you think about a DJ for Bynum S&T with Philly.

Philly would no doubt be interested with the young core they're building seeing as DJ and Noel would make a great defensive tandem and we'd get the scoring we need inside.

I know it's a HUGE risk and an absolute long shot but just wanted to hear people's opinions.

Bynum is DONE. FINISHED. At this point he's just trying to trick some team into signing him so he can steal more money. He won't even work out for teams. That's all you need to know about how stable his knees are.

Dj for nene?? Had sudden health problems when joined the wizards...those issues would probably dissapear on a contender

Doc has been raving about DJ, he's included him in our "big three" when asked about comparisons between coaching here and Boston, and he's said DJ should be a hall of famer at the end of his career. Now all that might seem like hyperbole, but clearly he's got a vision on how to use him in a succesful way. DJ's going nowhere until whatever Doc's thinking is tested and only if it doesn't work.

he was also very high on Bledsoe

They may be just trying to up his trade value

With the Pistons grabbing Josh Smith to go with Andre Drummond, plus Jennings at the point, they sure could use an established scorer at the 2. Crawford plus picks for Greg Monroe? Okay, not a chance but I hadn't seen any trade ideas on here for almost a month!

merrrrp. no thanks.

i think at this point we don't really need to make any more trades. have to wait until the season starts to see how it plays out... with our current roster, i don't see any moves we'll need to do except for DJ if he doesn't perform well... Other than that, i think we're good at every position.

Yeah I agree we shouldn't be doing any more drastic moves like that, but if we somehow could get Monroe on a lopsided trade like that I'd easily give them Bullock + as many unprotected firsts as we're allowed to, and I'd volunteer to giftwrap the whole thing and drive them to Michigan myself :)

I know nothing about trades and was hoping you guys could tell me if there are any possible trades for a big out there.

The suns are tanking and last night traded for Okafor. I'm not saying we have a chance for Okafor but are there any quality bigs that could come off the bench that we could get get by doing a trade such as the following:

Clippers:
give: crawford, etc.
get: backup big

Team B (tanking):
give: decent big
get: picks

Team C (contender):
give: lots of picks
get: Crawford, Mullens, whatever

I have a lot of faith in our roster however I think we are one post-presence short of contending.

Hey man, best way to figure out what potential trades are good and what aren't is to read most of the threads on the Trades and Transactions board to get a feel for what each team wants/needs, and especially the value they as fans and by extension, the teams general manager, hold of their players.

Also, have a play with the ESPN Trade Checker, it's always a good way to kill some spare time:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine.

You're right that a big like Okafor would be a fantastic pick up for us, but I'd say unless the Suns buy out his contract, they won't take Crawford back as they won't want to take on his salary in future seasons. If Crawford was expiring it'd be a really good trade platform to build on.

anybody know if Pat Patterson's defense sucks or not.
he appears to be available now.

Don't know about his defense, but he can certainly shoot. Don't think there's anything to write home about relating to him on defense. The problem like in the other situations is whom shall he be traded for?
