The end is near.

I believe the Lakers can only offer the minimum.

The Mavs and Nuggets both have a lot of point guards.

Wizards have Maynor and Temple backing up Wall already. Would they bring in another point guard?

Bucks could be a threat, but I think I saw rumor that they were also chasing Ridinour.

Ridnour was part of Martin trade, so he is already in Mil.

I do not think many, if any, teams consider Nate a PG though, more of a spark plug instant offense, and maybe emergency PG. I think just like the Bulls, teams make early feelers, of people they may consider, at the minimum, down the road. I would not read much into this.

Great. It's bad enough that we don't have a reliable scorer in the starting 5 other than Rose (crossing fingers for JB's development in that area), now our only firepower off the bench will be snagged as well.

No worries then, we'll just hold everyone down to 88.5ppg.

I don't think Maynor can offer the relief Wall needs, if Nate went to the Bucks I couldn't root for him to be frankly honest..unfortunately.

Is this suddenly a fact - Thibs is anti-Nate? I don't think so, but I guess I could be convinced with evidence.

I think Nate has matured enough that he could see his roll on the team as a spark plug when the offense isn't working, and he's enough of a NBA Vet to keep himself prepared.

Hope we can keep him.

Pretty sure Thibs is pro-Nate, or at least, he was the reason we went after Nate in the first place last summer.

I agree. I certainly won't mind having him back for the min if that is what happens. It was just kinda strange last season watching the hoopla.

That's certainly how I remember it. Considering that Nate had a good year for us, I don't see any reason to believe Thibs has suddenly become anti-Nate when he wanted him here in the first place.

You have two 18 ppg scorers (when Boozer is played 36 minutes) in the starting lineup with Rose. I'm not exactly sure what you are expecting. Dunleavy was brought in to score off the bench, although from your comment I don't expect you thought that was a good move. The Bulls were not a low scoring team when Derrick was healthy.

That's fair enough. I just don't like what our bench looks offensively. I don't expect the Kirk effect to happen with Taj and Dunleavy, though I acknowledge his shooting prowess. We still need someone off the bench that can match Nate's skillset, though I'd rather it be Nate himself.

The Dun signing to me was a relatively good move

Yeah, I do agree the bench could use one more shooter. Taj hasn't come around offensively over the last couple seasons and you can't count on Kirk. Butler will be forced into the starting lineup. Maybe Nate will end up back for the minimum.

Just you wait, Teague's gonna learn how to finish once he gets inside and Snell will be the second coming of Reggie Miller.

Nate averaged 18 points and 6 assists per 36 with us. I think he could be a great scoring guard off the bench for us like he was last year. Rose is coming off a major injury, Hinrich is always plagued by injuries and Teague was lack luster at best, passing on Nate for the minimum is a huge mistake. Hinrich and MDJ can split back up minutes at the 2 and Nate can get some time when Rose is off the court or when we go small or need some scoring punch.

I think the Bulls have already told him they will have him back for the minimum...which is all they are able to offer. Nate, and all of us I think, are expecting he will get a better offer.
