Kurt, pal, hear me clearly when I say, I couldnt give less of a crap about Trey Burke. He was never on our radar, never on my radar & not a player I was ever checking for in this draft so if you think I have any schtik regarding Burke you should probably let that go.
95% of Burke fans I saw on here were UM honks which is totally understandable as ive said all along, those of you that werent, apparently including yourself, my apologies for categorizing you as UM fans but you could be called a lot worse because UM has some pretty good fans.

Clearly the strongest performer at SL thus far. Jackson & Lamb for OKC were great too & Terrence Jones for Houston as far as Sophomores.
As for the rooks, I have been impressed with CJ McCollum as expected, Oladipo was great & Olynik in Boston was very impressive.

2 of those (Dipo and CJ) were my top 2 guys so not anything I wasn't expecting there. Olynyk on the other hand showed a lot more than I expected.

It has nothing to do with not liking UM,I go thru these threads eveyday and not once have I seen a poster say the reason they wanted burke was because he went to UM and the det board wasant the only board liking him or wanting him.So there isnt some sort of UM conspiracy. When I say schtick it has nothing to do with you not being on the burke bandwagon, but that you constantly throw out the ( the only people that wanted burke were the UM fans) when its clear that wasant the case.
Burke wasant just some scrub in college,he was the best player/pg, so its not such a stretch to think people would want him.If you want to call out people call out the ones who said kcp was a terible player and pick and wouldnt amount to much in the NBA.I was being honest about you being a good poster but it chaps my ass when I hear posters say the UM fan thing.

19/5/3 for Oladipo...including a game winning step back jumper. Pretty good for a guy who supposedly can't shoot, or can't handle the ball even if it is only summer league. His ceiling is not Tony Allen. In fact, he's already more talented.
@Clarity: I usually agree with most of your posts, but I really think that the whole UofM connection is being seriously overplayed. The percentage of guys who only like Burke because they are UofM fans is nowhere near 95%. Face the facts...he won the "Who should we draft" poll right before the draft handily. And he won the "Who will be RoY?" poll on the general board. I personally only watched UofM in the NCAA tourny and would not call myself a fan and kurtis has said that he is not a Burke fan only based on the UofM connection. How could Burke win a general board RoY poll if his support was 95% from UofM fans? He couldn't.
Was he ever in play for us? Probably not. But then again Shabazz never really was either and he's a guy that had a lot of support on here as well.

Re: NBA Summer League Thread - v2
I said before the draft, several times, that I was happy that we didn't end up with a top 3 pick, and that the guys we'd be selecting from seemed to be a better fit for what our team needed, and that we'd be able to get our man (one of them, anyways) by selecting a guy we'd be able to spend several million $'s per year less on.
I still feel that way. I believe KCP was a perfect pick for us. I was thinking pre-draft that it should either be him or MCW. Post-SL I'm now thinking that MCW might have a choppier career than his fans and team would like. He was pretty bad in Orlando, although he showed me signs that if he gets it all together in a few years that he could be great. He's a big "if" in my mind.
In any event, I'm extremely excited by KCP and what I saw. I love how he competes, and I love his defense. I'm getting more convinced now that he'll be a much better pro than McLemore, although I realize it's too early to feel comfortable about those projections.

Dipo shot way better than I thought he was going to, CJ was pretty much exactly as I expected, hes a game changer. Totally agree on Olynik.

I hear you, you are confused in saying I constantly throw out anything on Burke, I dont talk about him much, just when hes brought up ad nauseum on here.
I have said Burke was a great college player, you couldnt find 1 post of mine where I dissed him or said anything untrue about him. I think Burke is gonna be a good NBA player, I have been consistent with that for a while now. As for the other doubters etc, who cares what they say, thats unnecessary noise bro, ignore it.
I appreciate the compliment!, thank you.

As I said, all I could speak on was what I had seen, I usually would try to more excuse UM fans who were stoked about him because it totally made sense UM fans would be pro Burke.
As for the polls, I dont really pay attention to any of that stuff so I cant comment on that stuff honestly. Thank you as well for the compliment MBS, appreciate it bro.

Any news from McLemore? I heard he's been struggling so far like KCP on his first sl game.

McLemore was MCW like shooting the ball.
However I will say him taking 24 shots was a big step forward for him, hes been known as a stand in the corner, take 6 shots a game guy. To his maturation he missed more shots yest than he took combined in a bunch of games this season at Kansas.

McCollum looked pretty sub par today. Porter still struggling.
Zeller looked like a beast out there today. I don't think he's going to be a good defender or rebounder but I think he will be a solid scorer for Charlotte.

he couldnt hit a shot to save his life & he still had 15
Zeller looked great, if youre physical with him though you can get in his head fairly easy.

i really, really like dennis schroeder. is really quick, and a good passer, i think he can be a starter in this league, and a good one at that.

Re: NBA Summer League Thread - v2
Befor the actually draft,I wanted burke but thought he would go befor us (until the last couple weeks) and my 2nd options were mccollum or zeller.I know this is SL and nothing is certain yet but I think if zeller hits his peak he could be a top 5 c-pf in the NBA,I also think he will surprise alot of people and if gets minutes he has a good chance at roy.
