we only have DeMar, Jonas, Ross, Acy, Novak on the books for the 2015-2016 season, about 23 million, then we can go in any direction such as resign Lowry and Amir and say 8 and 7 per, bringing the cap to 38 million, then still options with resigning rudy, bringing in someone else or rebuilding

edit: Even if Rudy made 10 million this year we would still be above the cap so him making that extra money doesn't really affect us other than MLSE's wallet, especially since we are well below the tax

Gay is under contract next year. But he can opt out.

I know that. He can opt out after next year for 2014-2015

Y'all think we could strike a deal with Milwaukee involving Rudy Gay? Atlanta 'til today to match on Teague's contract, and if they don't, they'll have some nice assets to offer up in a deal for Rudy.

What would be a good offer in your mind?

Don't know if there's anything good besides picks and Henson.
I don't think they want to part with Henson either.

Deal but Denver won't do that plus Camby prefers a contender if Ujiri most likely will find a legitimate contender for him to go to.

Solves some of our rebuild needs by getting some potential longterm bench players.

Camby
Gay

for

K Humphries
J Green
Jordan Crawford

I first had it without Camby and Crawford which also works.

You make it sound like he has a choice. He doesn't have a no-trade-claus, so we can send him to the D-league for all we care and he'd have to go.

I would look to deal Rudy Gay plus Lowry to the Pistons for Stuckey, Charlie V and Knight and follow it up with Camby to the Heat for Anthony plus their first round pick then flip that to Memphis for Ed Davis and rebuild with tons of cap space and a top pick

^^ So basically you wouldn't have made the Gay deal in the first place
Toronto Raptors: Where winning culture is developed after finishing 23-43... So much better than 20-46 because THAT is a disappointing season.

Wouldn't do that trade. I'd do

Lowry + Gay + Ross

For

Knight + Monroe + Stuckey + CV

*if* were rebuilding/tanking.

I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I like Monroe, but is he the right guy to put next to JV? He's got his pluses but I'd like another two-way PF with range or athleticism and Monroe is none of the above- I think he's a C who needs to be paired with a Larry Sanders/Henson/Josh Smith(funnily enough)-type of PF.

They have KCP why would they need Ross. Lowry is far better than Knight so that makes sense, and they don't have any wings (Smith plays pf) So Gay will fit too.

How about:

Raptors: Richardson + Ross + Telfair (S&T) or Buycks
Bucks: Jennings (S&T)

Giving them Richardson to shed Salary and Telfair as a PG stopgap. They apparently like Ross so it would basically be Ross for Jennings. Im assuming that both sides would exchange give or take $7 Million. So Jennings would have to take about $7 Million per. Now you may think that no way he would take that, but his only other option is the QO of $4 Million. And he may see that being in a new big environment that he loves like Toronto with his best friend Derozan and the uncertainly of Lowry. This might be a good opportunity for him to find his groove and compete or play with Lowry at the PG spot. And likely we wont have to pay $20 Million for the PG spot like we did with Ford/Calderon if Lowry/Jennings works out and can coexist. Low Risk/High Reward, lots of flexibility for all the "what if" scenarios.

Dunno how trades work, but I think this trade is fair for both.

I wouldn't mind that deal at all, but I dont think Masai has interest in signing Jennings to a long-term contract. I think he's on the 2 year time frame, and he wants to keep his options open after year 2.

But with that said, Jennings/Milwaukee are taking a very long time making a decision with him. It really seems like he doesn't want to go back, but no ones offering him the money he wants. I wouldn't mind getting him if he agrees to something like $9-10 mill, similar to what DeMar's getting.

I think a sign and trade of Lowry/Camby would make it work.
