His defense sucks, but still. It would be huge to have someone off the bench who can create their own shot and do more than just spot up.

The MMLE would probably be enough, too.

I'd take him as well. I'm surprised he hasn't found a team yet after his play last season.

I'm not.

2010 Boston 17 0 7.5 .375 .333 .800 .8 1.1 .4 .1 4.2

There's a reason he's a journeyman and remains unsigned. He got a huge number of minutes, relatively speaking, last season. The Bulls had no choice. He's 5'7", too short to pass out when he get's pressured and plays bad defense and will shoot you out of more games than he wins with crazy circus shots. Not a good fit for this team at that price.

Would anyone have interest in Daniel Gibson? he was pretty good to a terrific shooter a few years ago until someone left town. Since then his numbers have gone to **** but with the spacing the Heat offense provides and LeBron and Wade passing him the ball you never know. Of course we would all like a few Centers but I don't see us adding 2. I'd definitely take Gibson over Varnado.

Dude your sig!! :o

But ya I wouldnt mind them looking at JJ, but I trust what Riley is doing.

Yeah it's a pretty disgusting fact, especially considering every Miami fan on the main board has to endure the old 'Dude you follow Miami, how can you complain about calls". When we don't even get the rub of the green.

Yeah, he obviously has his faults, but for the minimum? Hell yeah...

Would give us at least one guy off the bench who could "create" his own shot.

Doubt he'd be interested in a spot role (which is the best we could give him) though.

Yea I've been interested in him for a while. I think he'd be a good fit as the 5th guard. He knows LeBron, has been to the finals, and can knock down wide open shots. Underrated defender too, he's scrappy and has quick hands.

Interesting... I don't see it happening though, with Cole and Chalmers on board. Considering we don't even play with a PG in the lineup the whole 48 minutes, a third one is really the least of our needs IMO.

Yeah, he might be worth the minimum. But not the mmle. The most likely reason he hasn't been picked up is because of his last playoffs performance he's not signing for the minimum until every other option is exhausted.

Just think if we tried to actually develop the talent we have using the talent we had.

Rockets to hire Olajuwon to work with centers (we’re looking at you, Dwight).

Miami has ZO on staff, but I doubt he works at all with any of the bigs that have come since he's left. Miami has TH on staff, but i doubt he works with any of the PG's we have....

Who do you want Zo to work with, 35YO Birdman or Jarvis Varnado?

You've got to have a legitimate prospect that can devople if you want to team him up with an all time great like Zo. thats means someone with above average talent and youth.

I'll tell you this - you can bet your ass Zo will help Oden if we get him.

It shouldn't take ODEN........he could have worked with ANY of the BIGS we've had, since we're forcing them to play C the way HE played it.(hedging, taking charges, etc.)

Anyway, my point was what it was..........stop debating just to debate.......consider another point of view

I don't think i read once last season about zo working with guys, usually it's askins or mcadoo working with the young guys. Zo's greatest attribute was his heat, hustle and motor, those things are hard to teach.

I would like at least one young guy to develop, preferably a young wing and a young big. i would be fine with ennis and oden taking varnado and juwons spots.

No love for Jason Maxiell on the Heat? Do you people view him as too small or having another Anthony on the team? :king: :king: :king: :lift:

Actually like his game because he goes to the rim pretty strong.

Would like to see the Heat get a BIG and either a combo guard or another stretch 4.

If they could get Sonny Weems back in the league for the min, he'd be a great fit as well.

Anybody consider Cole Aldrich? He would be a very solid backup center for us.

We could use Al Harrington on a vet min contract since the Magic will be buying him out.

I don't care what anyone says, at a vet min contract, he's a steal.

I wouldn't mind him. Gives us some stretch four minutes.

I dunno if we have room for him though, especially with Shard on board.

I would entertain this. A combo 3/4 who can shoot the 3 if open. Not sure how much he has left though.
