Sounds like we have alot of interest in Matt Weiters.

Although my darkhorse first round pick is Josh Smoker.

Anyone else get into the MLB draft???

I really doubt Wieters lasts until the 7th pick unless money becomes a huge problem (which I doubt because the Cubs pick 3rd and imo they should pick him.)

I like Mike Moustakas. High school shortstop, who will probably end up playing 3rd base or outfield due to limited range. Good power and a nice smooth left handed swing.

I also like Phillipe Aumont. High school pitcher from Canada, mid 90's fastball but isn't polished at all and would be a huge project.

Not sure I would pick Smoker top 10. Maybe top 20 but more likely in the 20-30 range. He can hit 94 with his fastball but usually stays in the 88-91 range. He is more polished than other high school pitchers but I don't really like taking pitchers in the 1st round (especially as high as we're picking) with average stuff.

Eh. i wouldnt say Smoker is average he just isnt flashy. Reminds me alot of a capuano but throws much harder. Aumont is a major project and Im not certain that is the best avenue. Wieters may last we shall see with that huge bonus he is looking for it may deter teams but he is the best prospect and if he does last until 7 we should grab him....
Moustakas is another guy who Im not certain about too. I think his best position is rigght field and the left handed power is nice as well...I just am not sold on him.
