Only thing I have to say about Boris Diaw coming back to the Suns in any way, shape, or form is.....

I don't mind Diaw, now that his contract is much more manageable. He has a better basketball IQ than almost everyone on our team, and his range has improved.

I'd hope to get more for him than a chubby baguette eater and a pick from a team that will likely win 58 games.
Diaw seems like a front runner to me, he might be playing decent for San Antonio right now but I get the feeling in Phoenix he would exert about as much effort as he did in Charlotte.

Two of the years in CHAR, wasn't too bad 11/5/4
There would have to be more to the deal if we were talking Gortat. I was just saying that I don't mind Diaw with his current contract. To me, SA would have to take Beasley and give us a pick. But since they resigned Splitter, I don't see their need.

Yeah, I am a bit biased against Diaw for the way he handled himself after getting his big extension. Team gives you a fat contract and you show your thanks by getting fat.
And you are correct, San Antonio does not make much sense as a trade partner now that they've extended Splitter. That team handles their assets pretty well and its hard to picture them giving up a pick and maybe a decent player for someone they probably wont be able to resign after the year.
IMO Suns would be wise to hold onto Gortat until the season is rolling. Right now teams are liking their rosters on paper but come december there will no doubt be several teams finding their front courts are not as advertised.

The things I would rather do than accept that trade include BBQ-ing my own dog.

After listing Diaw and #28 pick for Gortat
...obtaining solid value for Gortat before he bolts next summer would be a sensible move.
wat.
