As a mod, I'm wondering if all Rondo threads should be locked :-)

I think we can agree to disagree. Boston fans think Rondo is great and that Ainge has all the leverage, Piston fans think Drummond has as much potential as any player on the league and since he's only 19, shouldn't be traded. So let's NOT do this trade.

And now to put on my Piston hat, there is no hurry for the Pistons to rush this. Knight is paid a third of Rondo, is healthy, and younger. Maybe he will develop into what the Pistons need this year. Meanwhile, Rondo will be recovering from a serious knee injury, and probably sulking when he comes back and realizes he has no one to pass to. Pistons would be in a much better position to trade then.

agreed. should be locked unless we see some smoke on the rondo situation. Drummond nor monroe will move.

okay your Ange, sell us on Rondo, and why we should give up moose or Dre in a trade?

You shouldn't. I never advocated for a trade.

Simple reason. Drummond is a big and Rondo is a small.

Ainge would be trying to fleece the Pistons anyways, so anything I said would sound ultra homer.

okay so your saying Dre is worth much more than rondo? gttin lost

You don't trade a big for a small. And yes, Drummond is more valuable than Rondo. Not because of skill level, but because he's a big and people in the NBA get so horny when they see potential. Same reason why people advocate for tanking even when they have great pieces.

Really? A bench warmer with averages of 13 3.9 and 3.3 on a pathetic 51.1% TS and 12 PER will be better than a perennial all star and premier point guard?

Also, how is Rondo poisonous? ALL his teammates love him. ALL of them.

I hope you are trolling, check this one out:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore;_y ... 2013020108

BK7: 20 pts, 10 ast, 1 TO , 6 rebs on 50% shooting, +30 on the floor
Uncle Drew: 14 pts, 5 ast, 3 TO, 2 rebs on 40% shooting, -20 on the floor

A lot of p*ssies would've gotten out of the way when someone way bigger than your size is about to jump, but Brandon Knight did NOT. Plus, if it wasn't for our amazingly valuable, un-tradeable franchise big man Greg Monroe (HEAVY sarcasm), Brandon Knight would NOT have to switch to guard Jordan. So in contrary, I actually wouldn't mind trading Greg Monroe for an up-and-coming PG, SG or SF

He had a great game against a crappy team. A team without their second best player and defensive anchor. Am I supposed to be impressed that he had a 20/10 game against the 27th ranked defensive team?

So why did you put up those highlights so Irving dribbling against Knight and Jordan dunking over him? Am I suppose to be impressed that Irving had a good exhibition game? Am I supposed to be "not impressed" that Knight tried to help out the defensive rotation?

I'm not saying Knight will surely become a star, but his work ethic and desire have never been lacking.
