This is going to be really interested. I am putting together my big board and I am on my 23rd ranked player...struggling like hell to decide.

An interesting thing I realized could happen when I was going through the players...

New Rule: You CANNOT have a player on your roster who is ALSO your head coach. Meaning that you cannot use two picks on the same person at separate times of their lives, lol. If you draft a player that went on to become a great head coach, that is great for judgement...shows you have a player with extremely high basketball IQ...but you can't draft them again in the 11th round as your actual head coach. However, another team IS allowed to grab your player as a head coach. Slightly confusing. Let me know if there are any questions.

You are building a team as if you were getting every player at the beginning of their prime-the end of it.

You're so right lol. I'm doing my projected draft board to see who should be available, and I'm not even close to being ready to pick. There are so many possibilities/variations of a duo to choose at 16 & 25! If it was any sooner I'd be in full blown panic mode lol.

It only gets even more cloudy as you go. I am at #60 on my board and it is TOUGH.

There are so many guys I thought I thought much higher of, in terms of their place in history...and then I see them so much further down on my list than I would have ever expected. The same goes the other way around...a few guys that I didn't realize I thought so highly of.

And for the record, no more name dropping from this point forward. It will be tough considering that it will be hard to draw comparisons for players/teams when we are comparing to other players that haven't been drafted yet.

If it becomes an issue I have a penalty in mind that I will put in place, but for now...let's just not do it.

Just wanted to clarify something that I could see coming up...

I said before that we wouldn't take a foreign player's history overseas in to consideration. However, it would be contradictory to then say that we ARE taking in to considering time spent in the ABA.

Therefore, I am going to say a players prime is a players prime...regardless of where it was spent. However, I would think that accomplishments in the NBA hold a hell of a lot more weight than anything done in overseas or in the ABA.

I misread, thought draft was goin' down today not Wednesday.

May be prudent to make a draft thread in case guys are ready to pick and are set on keeping their pick, no need to for them to wait until Wed for others to make trades imho.

Good idea...I'll get one going. People can make picks but the clock won't start until Wednesday morning as planned.
