Speaking of Jennings

Post#1 » by retrolenny » Tue Jul 16, 2013 3:14 am

Rotoworld.com says there are rumors that the Pistons and Bucks are trying to work out a sign and trade for Jennings. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little!!

"Whispers" from a single Milwaukee writer. I highly doubt it has any legs.

OMG, I hope not.

If true, hopefully its something like us sending Milwaukee the expirings of CV/Stuckey for Jennings.....then Jennings+ going to Boston for Rondo or to Indy for Granger+

If any of these rumors about Rondo and Jennings are true then It shows how little faith Dumars has in Knight. I hope that isn't the case but if so Knight should have some serious motivation for next season if he is still on the roster.

Logical Theorem 576
The Goodwill Theorem, which states as follows.

Vincent Goodwill says X is false, therefore X must be true.
Vincent Goodwill says X is true, therefore X must be false.

By logical theorem 576, the Bucks have talked to the Detroit Pistons. Whether or not something goes down is another question.

i feel horrible for Knight, finally put some talent around him and Dumars doesn't want him....

SImply put, we are linked to EVERY athletic 1, 2 and 3 who even MIGHT be available. Remember when we made a lowball offer for Rudy Gay? Yeah, that was a couple of days before we signed the player we met at 12:01AM at the crack of free agency to play the same position. Who's to say we're not offering peanuts (like one of Stuck or CV, plus Singler) on a S&T to bring Jennings here on an Andrew Bynum-like contract (2 years, $10M per, but second year is a team option)? If there's any truth to this rumor, I'd bet Joe is playing "Price is Right" with the Bucks and is looking for a buy low, high risk / reward type of deal; in other words, he's just doing his due diligence to see how cheaply he could be had.

Or maybe this is just a smoke screen to force Ainge to trade Rondo?

I believe Goodwill squashed that rumor on twitter, for what it's worth.

I don't think it shows Dumars has little faith in Knight, Dumars might feel that Knight is better as an off guard...Maybe Dumars see's himself in Knight...

Please not Jennings. That would be horrible. He's a scorer but he's definitely not a leader. I would try to get Granger instead. I'll say this though. Dumars has options and he's considering a lot of them. A trade is coming and I think it's going to be a good one. I'm excited.

lmao

http://www.todaystmj4.com/sports/milwau ... 62151.html
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Bucks' restricted free-agent point guard Brandon Jennings has spoken, but not said much about what his future will be with the team.

Ever since the Bucks pursued but failed to snag another restricted free agent point guard, Jeff Teague of Atlanta, there's been lots of speculation as to whether Jennings would be willing to remain a Buck, either for one more year or long-term, or would want to leave.

He addressed the issue...well, sort of.

Whatever you hear in the media it isn't true, I haven't talk to anybody since the Season was over. Thank you!

And I will continue not to talk to anyone.

"I will continue not to talk to anyone" - seems like a good stance to take for someone whose unemployed.

Dude has an agent to do the talking for him :-)

What could Joe, Mo and Chauncey do for Brandon Jennings?

Would the Bucks take back Stuckey and Singler in a sign and trade?

I would hate to have Jennings and his poor attitude but if it happens, it is my hope it would be a package involving Stuck & JJ so we can sign Siva and then trading Singler for a late 2014 1st.

Can we convince Jennings to shoot less and pass/play D more? Doubtful...

Getting rid of Stuckey and especially Jerebko while getting back Jennings would be a huge win for Dumars.

Jennings / Billups / Bynum
Knight / KCP

That's a solid guard rotation

Bucks fan here, you must not have watched Jennings at all in his first four years in the league, or else just watched his 55 point game.

Thank you. Jennings is terrible. BTW, Im just curious, what do Bucks fans expect in return if a S&T happened with Jennings?
