So it seems we'll be seeing if he can play to his contract & sign him if he does well.
I love it, so many factors such as how he reacts on a new regime & we can find out if he is capable of the play we potentially will pay him.

Re: Melton Will Play on Tag
I would love for this to be settled before the season begins. Here's an article & link for your thread:

Defensive tackle Henry Melton didn't reach agreement on a long-term deal with the Chicago Bears by Monday's 4 p.m. ET deadline and will play under his one-year, $8.45 million tender, which he had previously signed.
Melton, who occupies one of the key positions in the Bears' scheme, tied for third among NFL defensive tackles last season with six sacks. He also forced two fumbles.
In the past two seasons, Melton has produced 13 sacks, second among defensive tackles in the NFL during that span.

Re: Melton Will Play on Tag
I think we will end up re-signing him after this season. He is a beast and I think will be an important part of the Bears moving forward. Plus I think Emery wants to have the tag available for Cutler next off-season.
