Meh. Probably going to be a bench warmer during the year unless we have a plethora of injuries.

I'm guessing this mean we're not going to sign A.J. Slaughter? That sucks.

I don't get the signing an older guy for cheap when we can get plenty of younger prospects for cheap.

UNLESS, Hennigan plans on shipping 1 of our Vets that were supposed to be here to groom our young guys?

Maybe Henny saw enough of Vic at PG to deal Jameer and have Price as the vet backup PG? This is the only way I can justify an old bad PG signing in my head lol

Yeah I guess. I liked how Slaughter looked in SL. Too bad. Hope he gets a chance elsewhere. Seems to be a good kid with some upside.

Or Henny saw enough to want Dipo primarily at SG (I hope not; I'm a Dipo-at-PG guy) and feels that we need another PG for when Jameer inevitably suffers an injury.

It's something, I guess. They said they were looking for some depth at point but I too kind of expected it to be Slaughter. I am not familiar with him, is there any potential upside.

Beno will be gone.

Needed another body. Henny already said they were looking for more PG/C depth.

terrible fg/3pt percentages his entire career. he will help our tanking efforts if he gets on the court.

next years PG rotation after the 2014 trade deadline.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Hopefully it means we have a trade on the table to ship off Jameer.

I would highly doubt the signing of Ronnie Price means a trade is in the works.

A NBA team is more then just about the games. You need some vets who have high Basketball IQ and make for good practice guys. The Magic have got to have some players who will not rock the boat when they don't get into the game. Guys who know that they will not be getting PT and won't make a fuss about it. Guys who know they are here to help teach and make the young guys work hard and can still play spot min.

I would reckon we would have FIVE players capable of running point gaurd now. Thats a serious logjam.

1. Jameer Nelson
2. Victor Oladipo
3. E'twuan Moore
4. Doron Lamb
5. Ronnie Price
