Regardless, if it means no Jennings I'm good with it.

It'd make things a bit more interesting at least. Could try to talk myself into hoping a Knight / Mayo tandem would provide enough playmaking as a backcourt to cover eachother's flaws.

If the bucks do this deal can stuckey play the 3,or will the bucks still bucks still b short that elusive 3

He can't create either for himself or others. In the pick and roll its easy for his own man to contain him, and in isolation situations he struggles to go anywhere with the ball without a screen. Today we saw him against Bazemore and Machado in extended minutes with them picking him up 3/4 court and he couldn't even initiate the offense most of the time. Those guys are borderline NBA players, he is going to massively struggle to create or get any separation against actual NBA PGs.

On the defensive end he struggles badly to stay in front of anyone in the SL, quality NBA PGs would destroy him. Even someone like Jennings could easily make him look really terrible on both ends.

I don't see the upside either. He is a guy who already has a very high BBIQ, and there's nothing untapped athletically. Most likely he is what he is, which is a poor man's Beno Udrih.

That twitter source looks seriosuly laughable. He has to be 18 years old and literally hasn't reported anything else ever, I'm not buying it. That is seriously the package they offered for Rondo, and there's talks of Jennings?

We probably won't really cut him. But we probably should.

Trading up for him was dumb, Ledo was the higher upside guy anyway

Stuckey could never play small forward.

I am reading what you guys were discussing now, but anytime you see 'you think a GM (insert something stupid)' you have to immediately post a Hammond pic. It's like in the bible or something.

It would be pretty great if the first great trade Hammond makes comes when he gets back together with Dumars. Wonder Twin powers activate? Form of trade murder?

He's looked pretty **** atrocious. I'd obviously still throw him into the D-League or the end of the bench to learn, but man he looks bad.

Wolters is gonna be in the D-League. He needs time to develop.

Knight/Ridnour/Smith
Mayo/Stuckey/Jones
Delfino/FA SF/Antetokounmpo
Ilyasova/Henson
Sanders/Pachulia/Ayon

D League - Wolters

I'm fine with putting Wolters in the D League, but I just don't see any upside there at all. Develop into what?

probably just another kid trying to make a name for himself on twitter. That said, I would take on Knight and be mildly, moderately, lightly excited about it. Mainly to be officially moved on from the Jennings era, but also because Knight does have talent. If he can get past the PTSD from the Kyrie/DeAndre soul-crushing finishing moves he suffered.

At least he had the guts to play ACTUAL defense.

agreed. that's why I respect him. as long as the play didn't make him change that philosophy. I'm sure it was traumatizing

As a Piston fan, never heard of this supposed in-the-know blogger. I was coming here to ask you guys if he was legit as I assumed he was a Milwaukee guy.

The guy probably made it up because a day or so before the draft Udoh tweeted "I love Detroit" or something like that out of the blue (nobody can really love Detroit unless they're getting paid millions to play there). But then nothing ever came of it.

Why would you guys amnesty Gooden and then trade away Udoh, and bring in no bigs in the deal? Are you really stacked at the 4/5?

We'd still have Ersan, Sanders, Henson, Zaza, Ayon.

also re: Rondo, I am apparently far higher than him than everyone on this board. If I knew that Rondo would be content in Milwaukee, I would be all over paying a good price to get him. My apprehension is a worry about giving up assets and then losing him shortly thereafter, as we are all too familiar with. But on the court, he is a savant, IMO.
