Luke Walton's agent is a Hawks fan?

Wing =SF which is where we are really thin. We have our PGs and SGs right now. We really only have Korver at SF currently. (we arent bringing DS back IMO)

Big man, self explanatory. Need a C ASAP

Korver going to start? Carroll wasnt really a starter was he? I knew i was forgetting someone, and they werent on this list

http://espn.go.com/nba/team/roster/_/na ... anta-hawks

PG we looks set with Teague, Mack, Schroeder (they are saying Schroeder is outplaying Mack at this point)
SG we have Lou , Cunningham, Jenkins

SF and C are the only spots we look like we have 2 or less players.

not much left out there at SF.....PF-C we have plenty......brand,horford,millsap,scott,muscala,lugeria

i still think Mullens would be a good addition......will spread the floor with his 3pt shooting.....plus can reb inside...

I think if we can get a TRUE C, it would give us more options.

PF is cluttered right now with Millsap and Horford. Add in Brand. I dont expect Muscala or Bebe to make the roster. Maybe Scott will (he has been playing well at summer league. Plus hes had a year in the nBA already).

Horford and Millsap will start, presumably Horford at Center , Millsap at PF.

IF we sign a true C, we can move Horford to PF, Millsap to SF for our "big lineup".

Brand is nothing more than a backup, like ZaZa but worse in terms of athleticism, but better in terms of rim protection

I like Brandon Wright, young, would fit well. Used to playing Center.

Delfino I dont like, and he signed with the Bucks already didnt he?

Yes. Brandon Wright is basically Bebe. Muscala has a great shot on making the team. Hed be our Tiago Spllitter. And a wing we could add would be Ronnie Brewer. Or just bring back Tolliver. And bring back Ivan

The other wing I would like to see is Linas Kleiza. Then I guess just bring back Johan Petro.

I just don't see the point of bringing in Wright. He isn't a true center that everyone keeps saying that they want. Everyone says they don't want another PF, yet they are content with Wright who played 11% of the Mavs mintues at PF and only 16% at center. He is a good blocker though.

I think the big man will be a very uneventful Ivan.

Don't we also have Stevenson as a SF on the roster?

Mack is unguanranteed and can be cut for nothing to get more room.
Same thing for Scott, and Muscala and Nogueira are not signed.

We only have 9 players under contract, with the 10th being Carroll but that can be signed with the Room Exception once we spend all room up to the cap.

If we cut the unguaranteed contracts, we have nearly 7M to offer to one player, or sign one for 4M, then offer 3.5M to another (if we sign a player for 4M, we get 500k for one incomplete roster charge less.

Delfino is already signed, which is sad because he could have been a good signing.
It's the same thing with Dunleavy : CHI got him for 3M/yr
I'd have signed him for that any days.

We have three options:
- split the room left between a C and a SF
- minimum on C and main part on SF (harder since C are overpaid)
- minimum or a bit more on a SF and main part on C, and this could be the best to do

In this last case, we can also look at Gelabale, cut by MIN to get room to sign Martin. He certainly can play in a SAS system.
Then go on a C like Oden, Dalembert or Wright
If Gelabale accept the minimum, he can be signed later and we can use all the room left on the C

Deshawn Stevenson has a 2 yr team option that has yet to be accepted or declined.

It's not exactly a team option, it's a 3yrs contract with 2nd and 3rd being not guaranteed, so we can cut him without paying him, and get more room (even if it has to be replace by a roster charge as long as we have less than 12 contracts/cap hold)

Dont think Stevenson is coming back IMO. Way past his prime as well.

About Mack, I mean we have to choose who the backup PG is, at this point its between Mack and Schroeder. We already signed Schroeder, so he cant go play overseas (thats my understanding). Schroeder is also outplaying Mack in the summer league.

I have a feeling we will bring schroeder in despite his size issues
