According to @SpearsNBAYahoo, 76ers have received permission to talk to David Fizdale. He said often it needs to b ideal situation to leave.

fizdale is close with wade and lebron. i hope he stays.

I can't imagine Philly in their tanking mode is the kind of job Fizdale wants to take.

so it really does look like miller was gonna be a goner one way or another this off season. apparently the heat made a strong push to sign the italian league mvp luigi datome (who the detroit pistons ended up getting for vet min money)

i was watching his game he looks almost like a mike miller clone. can really shoot the 3 and he rebounds/hustles. one of the reasons he chose detroit is cause he though drummond would be better than lebron/wade getting him open looks which in retrospect im glad he didnt choose us cause obviously hes a dumb ass. one of the main reasons shooters want to play here is due to the space wade/lebron can create for them

Fizdale is the most overrated of our coaches imo.

The work that the old coaches have been doing in the background has been tremendous for Spo. It could be time for Fizdale to move on - he's not the successor here - notice he wasn't given the summer league role this year. :wink:

Greg Oden is just using us for leverage to get a big contract. He's a thief glass man who will never play in the NBA again anyway.

Nobody gave this kid the time of day, but now suddenly every single team in the NBA is meeting with him simply due to Miami showing interest.

Count me in as a player who DOES NOT WANT Greg Oden. **** him. Vet min contract is only 2mil less than the MMLE anyway. So he's still not sure of going to Miami, 2-time champ in desperate need of a CENTER, who would give Oden the best media exposure + playing time + another deep playoff run ? He's not sure about wanting to play in that situation because of....... 2 mil ?

The kid who got cut by Portland for never playing more than a handful of games in his entire career since getting picked #1 overall, the kid who hasn't played in an NBA game since 2009 due to his atrocious knees in his early 20's?

Fizdale is not leaving. Yesterday I read somewhere that he has said that he would only leave for an ideal situation and that he loves working in Miami with his best friend (Spo) and the best team. He said something like "the situation would have to be so good that Micky and Pat would be telling me to go"

He's not leaving, and I like Fizdale here, it seems like the players really respond to him.

I'd prefer we keep all of our assistant coaches together to be honest! Never change a working formula (ala Dallas 2010), because you never know if you'll get that formula again (Ala Dallas striking out 2013 free agency lol).

Miami is desperate for a serviceable C but I always said Oden was about being paid. His knees are more banged up than a porn star...not mad at him for jolting to a big check over being a contender if that's what he decides to do... It's expected.
