Yeah, I actually loathe Georgetown Cupcake. It' flour and sugar -- they're not even that good as cupcakes go. It's all because of some stupid TV show. I feel the urge to yell unkind and snarky things at the people standing in line there when I drive by. But I don't because I' a wonderful person.

I'm pretty meh about the fancy cupcake thing anyway. Not a cupcake guy.

But I'm all over the fancy burger craze, food trucks, Taylor Gourmet, etc.

As folks can tell by my basketball shape, I do like cupcakes. And cakes. And pies and cookies and ice cream and donuts. Not all the same time.

Usually.

Georgetown Cupcakes are pretty good to my taste buds, but not as good as their reputation. The hype is nice, though. My daughter ran a fundraiser for her school's theater department and made a KILLING -- by selling Georgetown Cupcakes for $5 apiece.

Best cupcakes I've ever had were from the Atlanta Cupcake Factory. Totally misnamed since it's TINY little shop where everything is made in the back in small batches. Their salted caramel cupcakes would probably be in my top 5 foods if I ever made a list.

I'm all about the DC food truck "community". I love so many of them, in particular: Hula Girl Truck, TaKorean, the Red Hook Lobster truck, Feelin Crabby....

I wonder if we could get a call from WTA if food trucks are "yuppie".

Just wondering.

Have you ever been to Truckaroo? The TaKorean line at Truckeroo stretched for almost a quarter mile. It was nuts.

I'm pretty certain that WTA is going to think that even uttering the word "Truckaroo" is "yuppie".

Isn't there one tomorrow?

I would normally be there.

But it's just too hot. I'd hate to work IN a food truck in this heat. (Hula Girl Truck will not be on the road today because it's just too hot inside for workers).

Ooh, thanks for these! I'm always looking for good food trucks to follow on twitter.

Waiting for WTA to lament the demise of Hot Shoppes.

Had to go back 30 pages to find this thread. How could WTA's vigilance have sunken so low? LOL

Well, this should cheer him up: Why Generation-Y Yuppies are Unhappy
