I agree Keode,

And I feel that will be his role with us until he fully develops.

Give him 8-10mpg as a spot up corner shooter, and as he develops give him more minutes.

Thing I do not want to see is him getting absolutely no minutes at all.

He gets the ball occasionally. Larentzakis and Papapetrou are really doing their best Jennings and Ellis routine today though.

They are 7/16. Let them shoot. G-Bo isn't doing anything that right now that deserves attention.

The one good sign is that G-Bo seems to have a consistently high +/-

They were down like 14-0 when he first entered into the game and went down 18-0. After that with him in the game they slowly inched back, he has a positive impact.

Did anyone else catch that ridiculous cross court inbound for a turnover by Greece?

As he should be with the way International Basketball is constructed. Bo's offensive strength in the NBA will likely lie in his ball handling and ability to get to certain spots on the floor. With the way zones are constructed internationally, that severely hampers this strength. The NBA spacing is much more open, and zone is played far less which should give Bo an advantage on that end of the floor. Since he is neither a deadly shooter, and as quick as the guards given his size, he's better off being used as a hustle guy and floor spacer in the corner on the offensive end for the national team. The national team's main benefit from Giannis comes in his ability on the defensive end, the boards, and his basketball IQ which we've seen throughout the tournament.

I love his defensive tenacity. I think he can be a good offensive player, but people calling him the Greek Durant I think are going to be disappointed. He just doesn't seem that aggressive offensively. I hope it is just that he is following the directions of the coach, because I think it is hard to "turn on" aggression.

As a side note, since he is an immigrant and the only African on the team, I wonder if he defers or if he is being frozen out of a bigger role. (Really not trying to stir up any racial issues- but just an observation.)

I'm fine with this. I kind of wish he had chosen to do NBA Summer League instead so I could see more clearly how he would fit into an NBA style offense. The one thing you notice is that the Grecian defense plays very differently with him on the court.

I'd also like to add that it's easy for us to sit here, watch, and say that Bo needs to get more touches on the offensive end, because we want to see what he's got. We also want to see him develop, and he'd likely be getting more touches in summer league. With that being said, he IS on a team playing to win, and him driving the offense isn't in the best interest of the Greek team.

Not a good start to the quarter. A TO, missed 3 and 2 fouls in 2 min.

And they should stick to the hot euro girls during timeouts.

They can't do anything with Tekin. Why doesn't that guy play more?

ETA: nm fouls.

Strange style of basketball to watch. Either cut to the hoop or shoot a 3. Never really watched Fiba ball before. Def interesting to see something different.

DO you get 5 or 6 fouls in U20?

That was a NBA +1

They need G-Bo back in. They are getting killed on loose balls.

The Grecian defense is awful with Giannis off the court. They are getting absolutely murdered on the boards and on loose balls.

you get 5 fouls. Greece has no answers for Tekin, he's dominating the 6-9 unathetic bigs of Greece. The fact that they do a lot of TOs doesn't help too

Wow, that looked like summer league for a minute. Turkey almost blew it a second time.

They've been overplaying all game and Greece hasn't been patient enough to take advantage of it. Finally they got one there.

They haven't been able to say Giannis' last name with any consistency all game. It is like something straight out of improv comedy.
