Since this is still the Brandon Jennings Conundrum thread, I just want an answer to my response to you about Jennings assist numbers, TchenBucks?

You made the typical Brandon Jennings fan argument that his assist numbers aren't spectacular because of his teammates not because of his ability. Yet Monta Ellis could dish out double digit dimes with the same teammates whenever he got the point duties. What gives?

Ellis has better vision and has much much better passing skills. Oh and he's a SG.

I actually love the the overall tone of this board. A poster on here said it best. This board is actually therapeutic to Bucks fans who understand where this franchise is and hope/pray like hell for something better.

Maybe calling posters "cronies" who disagree with the prevailing stance on this board is a little much but I get the frustration.

I've lurked on this board since high school and only started posting in 2010 and i'm tired of the excuses from the organization. So, for somebody who's been posting here since 2004, I imagine hearing those excuses reiterated by the "fan base" must be really upsetting.

If you are new to this board the past two years, you don't realize the process most of us have gone through. I used to be able to rationalize and get excited about every move the team made. I cheered the Etan Thomas offer sheet. But over time you see the same mistakes being made over and over.

I think the anger really accelerated coming off the Stephen Jackson trade during draft day 2011. That was the start of it. And the moves since that point have gotten progressively worse and worse.

Before that point, I'd say the super negative crew was only maybe 20 percent of the board. Now most of us have fallen in line due to the Bucks management actions of late being questionable if not downright stupid the day they are made.

We're in the same boat as I stalked these boards for years before just finally deciding to start posting. Your comment about it being therapeutic is exactly why I started posting. I'm just plain sick of this organizations ineptitude.

With that being said, I think a lot of the long time posters see a person with a few posts and automatically think they're ignorant, don't have a clue, or can't relate. Just look at the comments made to new posters a lot of the time around here. Some of them definitely deserve to be flamed but some of them are just flamed because they disagree with a poster and he uses his post number against him/her. It's like post number profiling

Exactly right.

I liked the Etan Thomas offer as well and looking back at it, it was just the same old. A lot of folks on this board that are now pessimistic used to be optimistic not that long ago. I never posted but I used to be a big optimist and really started souring right around the Stephen Jackson "decision".

That was a terrible move, along with the signing of Gooden, I feel hammond has made two terrible moves.

Yeah, he lost me at two. I just  and moved on from that back-and-forth.

I wish this didn't exist. Unfortunately it is part of any tight knit message board. I joined these things in spring of 2002 when a few guys were posting about how great Glenn Robinson was. Talked about how he needed his number retired, best Bucks SF ever, etc. I came in to mention that we had guys including Marques, Dandridge, Cummings and even Pressey who I though were better than Glenn. (That's how/why I took the screen name I did). Basically my comments started off a riot among the regulars who started hammering me.

So for new guys out there, you have to ease your way into the board. Don't start tons of new threads, don't pick fights with guys with high post counts. Just work your name into the conversation over a period of months, not days. And interestingly enough, suddenly you become a regular with "cred"

I think we get too negative at times and too many food fights with new posters. Would like a kinder and gentler board.

However, it needs to be noted that we always have Bucks employees signing up for accounts here and trying to help change the discussion on this board. One Bucks employee who posts here stays under the radar but simply posts a lot of fan friendly links, photos and info on our guys, so you don't notice him much. Others have come in at varying times to try and present the Bucks side of things. Some sign up and start getting in food fights in an effort to slow down and mess up the forum.

And it isn't just Bucks employees. We've had players, friends of players and people working for agents come in from time to time.

So you have to always take with a grain of salt some of this stuff depending on who the poster is. Just know that a number of local and national media members, players and agents hit this board for Bucks information.

All 100% true. Sometimes it's quite amazing seeing who's on here. I just wish the team would spend more effort on getting past the first round than they do coming here trying to overlay the board with rose colored/delusional glasses.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Simple, we're never draw a big name FA, so we need to get stars through the draft. Hard to do that though when we're always the 8th seed.

To PP and MD -

How do you know who the Bucks employees, agents, players, etc. are?

They obviously conceal their identity on the board. Why wouldn't they sign up with a fake name?

I've been lurking since around the time you joined and one of the reasons I never felt like posting was exactly because of what you've described. The regulars just hammer the newbies if they don't agree with them.

However, starting a bunch of new threads and posting absolutes before they really ever get their feet wet on this board will definitely not help the situation.

What was the poster's name last yr who kept saying Be Milwaukee and was so cheery before being waived. He had to be an employee correct?

musky, head on down to the BC to catch a Bucks game but it's cold outside so head on over to Bucks.com and pick up a Bucks beanie for only $10!
