LOL yea but I think his basketball IQ is much higher than Beasley. That alone should make him about 10 times better.

Is he the brother of Eric Gordon that plays or played for a school in Arizona?

Gordon will end up being the 5th pick in the draft, behind Wiggins, Randle, Parker, and Smart. The kid could be the next Scottie Pippen if he really focuses and busts his ass.

He used to... he transferred to Indiana I believe.

But the OTHER Gordon, Aaron Gordon, is about to lay waste to the pac-12. And that NBA comparison is laughable. Draft.net is the worst. Aaron Gordon is an above the rim player with a non-stop motor, the scouts rave about how this guy is an endless supply of energy, the comparison that just about every single other site and scout is making is Blake Griffin. That is about as far removed from Beasley as possible.

Yep, Aaron Gordon is a shorter Blake Griffin for me.

His older bro Drew Gordon (former New Mexico Lobos standout) was playing for my favorite Euro club Partizan Belgrade last season. Great athlete, too.

Billy Donovan, coach of the USA FIBA team said his energy and passion reminded him of Joakim Noah. I am interesting to see him play at UA though. They will have quite a crowded (but talented) frontcourt. It's too bad their 4s with range (Hill, Jerrett) are both gone though.

Well most of the top prospects haven't played any college ball yet, so you have to base it on what they did in hs, which makes it a bigger question mark.

But the #1 overall prospect is Andrew Wiggins who is a SF and he will be at Kansas so you might follow them. Three of the other top prospects are PFs (Jabari Parker, who is going to Duke, Julius Randle, who is going to Kentucky, and Aaron Gordon, who is going to AZ)...I'm not sure if any of these guys can play sf...maybe Parker, possibly Gordon.

The next highest rated SF is actually Glenn Robinson from Michigan, and then after that the next small forwards (not counting Hezonja, who I think is a SG) are all projected to go outside of the lottery (TJ Warren-NC State, Sam Dekker-Wisconsin, Dario Saric-Int'l, CJ Fair-Syracuse and James McAdoo-NC).

Those second five listed would probably be guys available with the Minnesota pick if we get it, or possibly even our second round pick.

We pretty much have to take the best available player though, within reason (hopefully one of the top forwards...if we miss out on that, maybe Hezonja at SG) but after the top tier forwards, it is a bunch of point guards and centers mostly.

Everyone screams for Wiggins, but this draft looks pretty deep. We got the usual suspects right now and there will surely be at least a couple more that pop up during the season and during March Madness as well.

While obviously getting the #1 pick would be great, I think any pick in the top 5 will be money. You just have to hope we don't pick Darko, :lol:

And we are pretty much semi-Timberwolves fans this year as well, need them to get that 7th or 8th spot in the Western Conference for us to get another first rounder, the Lakers intrigue was fun to follow this year, we'll see if Minny likewise provides some entertainment.

A: I think that would put a lot of pressure on the average kid.

Come April 2014.... I bet there will be 2-3 names vying for that No.1 pick...

Wayne Selden... Wiggin's team mate.... looks like a Wade-type.... wouldnt be surprise if Wiggins and himself put up amazing stats together for both to go top 5.

My main goal would be to draft BPA..... hopefully that BPA plays SF... and can shoot.... would be perfect for Suns.

I'm surprised Andrew Harrison is ranked so low. He seems like a guy that would excel in the NBA.

Clearly, we shouldn`t be interested in Marcus Smart or Andrew Harrison with Dragic and Bledsoe on a team. Wayne Selden looks too similar to our own Archie Goodwin, imho.

So, if we don`t win lottery (Suns don`t have that kind of luck) I want us to draft sf/pf, ideally Julius Randle or Jabari Parker.

I want Parker too...
But I want to see if he can become a full pledge SF...

If he becomes Tweener ish.. He is a risk... I mean look at Beasley and Derrick Williams..

I see Parker as a Paul Pierce type SF but he is 240 pound 6'9... And not known for explosiveness...

If he can prove he is a real SF who can slide to PF ala Melo... Then I definitely want him on the Suns...

1UPZ, Parker is more skilled than Pierce.

I liked his response to Givony`s question (Does he see himself as a sf or pf?) during one interview: `I see myself as a basketball player`. I believe he can effectively play both positions.

I wanted to say Parker can be even better player than Pierce, he is that skilled. Just my opinion. He looked like he can makes his teammates better which is a very rare attribute nowadays.

I can see him as a mix of Grant Hill and Paul Pierce in the future, which is a franchise player of course.

I understand that Wiggins has Lebron like potential and you take him if you can but I would be just as satisfied with Parker at the moment. He seems to fit the mold of what were trying to build here with knowledgeable high character guys. What would be incredible is if we could hire Grant Hill as an assistant coach to teach Parker to become the next grant hill, without the foot issues obviously :wink:

Depending on Rondo's time table, I could see Boston sneaking in here too. What do you guys think?

And I would also bank on Sixers and us being top two, right now. You can put Celtics instead of Kings in top5.

Question is do we take Parker or Randle if we end with the second pick? I`d go with Jabari.
