Its top 20 protected through 2017, after that its unprotected. OKC got it in the Harden deal, Houston got it from LA in a deal earlier (I believe Fisher for someone), and LA got it from Dallas when they traded away Odom a few years ago.

We just need them to offer Bynum or someone a huge deal. It could be a really good pick. Someone will go there in free agency eventually though.

Agree. OKC has got so many young talents and won't need too many late 1st rounder in 2~3 years.

Dallas didn't get CP3, Howard, Smith, any of the top tier or two..

Who all did they sign, Calderon, Ellis, Ellington...drafted Larkin...am i missing anyone?

They MAY get lucky and jump into the last playoff spot depending on injuries, etc, but top 10 in the NBA...nah not this coming season.

Even if Dirk takes a smaller contract to run at bigger names in the future...will they sign?? They haven't recently that's for sure.

HOU got the pick from LAL for Jordan Hill.

It's like I said at the time, this pick could be gold. It's very unlikely DAL will be a top 10 team again in the next 3 years. This pick has a very good chance of turning out to be an unprotected lottery pick.

Dirk is 35 now and will be 36 when his contract expire. Would be interested to see who he can pull to dallas next season.

If they don't get anyone huge i wonder how that will turn out for them? Cuban is a good owner too so he might be willing to overpay someone.
