Bucks do not need to do a sign and trade as they are under the cap sufficiently for an 8 million a year offer which is an overpay, and highly doubt Bobcats will do as a match....he is simply going to walk

You see what simply walking did to D.J. Augustin? Hendo's agent might be dumb but he better be smarter than that.

I do not think he will take the QO.... it is roughly just over 4 million right????

I would give him 6 million one year deal... Somewhere in the middle on a short contract so he can prove to the league that the end of the season was not a fluke...

He is worth 6 million range... as long is it is on a one year deal... I would offer him 11 million over 2 seasons, but I do not want him to get anything longer than that.

henderson doesn't really have an alternative choice if no other squad offers him. he has to sign the qualifying offer or sit out the season and do this all over again next summer. what's the incentive for charlotte to offer him one year at a rate above the QO? i have been thinking for the past few days that a 2 year deal is ideal for him. buys one year of unrestricted free agency for the bobcats, and you almost can't overpay for a contract of that length. almost. everybody wins, especially given the anemic market for RFA's in general and in particular this year.

Bobcats will match the deal then try to trade him next season before they just let him walk.

That's what I hoped we'd do with Augustin, etc.

Wow... No way we are giving him that.. I expect either a one year deal at 6.5 or 7 or we sign and trade him...
By that token, Gerald should be looking at 10-11 million since Derozan got upwards of $9M. Garbage team or not, Gerald is better than Derozan and much more useful to a team than Overtly Jacking up Massive Amounts of Your Offense.

The longer this goes on, the more I am leaning toward just giving him the QO and hoard cap space next season. Also gives him another chance to boost his stock: win/win/win.

As of right now we have 8 players under contract for 2014-15 and just under $26.5 million in cap space, instead of giving Hendo over $7 million of that I'd be fine with exploring other options in 2014 when I think we'll truly be prepared to make a run.

I'd be okay with giving Hendo 7 per since he can actually play a little SF. If he carries on like he ended last season that should be a pretty movable contract and he's been a consummate pro on a historically awful team.

Hendersons getting traded for a scout from the Sacramento Kings now.

I wonder how he came to exactly 7%. That's an odd estimate number.

100% - 60% - 33% = 7%

100% - 60% - 33% = 7%

My post wasn't that serious. It just seemed random that he felt like putting a number to all those scenarios.

Don't feel bad. Even though it wasn't that serious, I hadn't thought of how easily you can come to exactly 7%.

Still not a peep from any team so......

What is Henderson waiting for?

This will go down in history as the most annoying Qualifying Offer of all time taken at the last minute.

Its always like this with RFAs. Jennings, Henderson, and even Pekovic hasn't signed a deal yet.

But there has been action on Jennings and Pek. While Henderson has been playing a game of chicken with his imaginary friend.

Henderson and his agent Arn Tellem obviously want open market value for his next contract, so it stands to be reasoned that he should just take the damn QO. He can get rid of his RFA tag by doing so and then he can get exactly what he wants. I'm not about to dish out $8mil/yr for Hendo, so we can figure out replacing him when the time comes.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere
