I'll just repeat what I already said:

It's not that I dislike Monroe, but people think just because you drafted him and he actually panned out as a starter, that he all of a sudden is an all-star.

How about this, regardless of if Monroe is an All Star or not, Greg Monroe is superior to Tiago Splitter.

I wouldn't say superior, I would say slightly better. But again, Monroe will be making almost twice as much money soon so I'll take Splitter.

If Josh Smith doesn't get max money, I doubt Monroe will.

Just FYI only 14 players in the NBA averaged at least 15 and 8 last year. There are not a lot of bigs who can score and rebound well.

Al Horford
Al Jefferson
Blake Griffin
Carlos Boozer
David Lee
DeMarcus Cousins
Dwight Howard
Greg Monroe
Josh Smith

LaMarcus Alderidge
Lebron James
Nikola Pekovic
Tim Duncan
Zach Randolph

That is pretty solid company for Greg to be in obviously he goes above and beyond the 15 and 8 as he was over 16 and 9 which drops the list down to just 9 players and only Cousins and Monroe are under 25 from that list of 9 players.

The Greg Monroe undervaluing by this fan base (constantly wanting to trade him) leads me to believe a lot of you are younger & didnt witness the NBA in the 80s & 90s.

Undervaluing a big with Greg's skill set, at 22 yrs old, with the way he improves every year, with where on the floor he scores the bball is very confusing.

That's ridiculous. Leonard is good and all but he is VASTLY overrated on realgm. He is a glorified 3D player. Again, I like Leonard but his value shouldn't be close to Monroe's let alone Drummonds.

Ok untouchable is the wrong word to describe Leonard but to say he's overrated is ridiculous. Did u watch him in the finals?
If we could do a Monroe for Leonard swap we should be all over it. I can't see the Spurs making such a drastic trade since they don't want to hurt any chance of a finals repeat as long as Duncan is still playing. Monroe for Leonard would leave a huge gap in that lineup.

This forum is here so we can discuss basketball and just because some like to come up with trade ideas and some of them have Monroe in them does not mean they are youngsters, any less of a fan, or ignorant to the ways of the NBA.

On a forum there will always be differing points of view so discuss them instead of using passive aggressive (or blatant) insults and we will be doing better as a board.

This goes for everyone obviously. - roc

FWIW I started watching back in the 70's ;)

Sorry do disappoint you but I would put Monroe's value about equal to that of Splitter and so would most people outside of Detroit. It's not that I dislike Monroe, but people think just because you drafted him and he actually panned out as a starter, that he all of a sudden is an all-star. The rest of the league doesn't think so. If it wasn't for the fact that soon he will be wanting twice as much money as Splitter it might make sense.

I'm sorry, but this is flat out wrong. I think everybody outside of Detroit value Monroe more than Splitter. First example, a Portion of the Boston fans would be happy to receive Monroe in a trade for Rondo. Go and post an offer for Splitter for Rondo, and test the reaction. Second example, was almost everybody on the general board thought Splitter was overpaid, signing nowhere near a max deal. It is expected that Monroe signs a max deal.

So tell me where you are getting the idea that Splitter is valued as much as Monroe outside Detroit
