It's also hard for me to argue my team, I've never seen either of them play outside of youtube and NBA re-runs.

Dirk is easily a top 30 player since the 70's. that 11' team was the epitome of 1 superstar player carrying a team of quality role players and he has the most unblockable J ever
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

I don't think picking Dirk was a reach either. I don't know if he's Top 30 or Top whatever since the 70s. I do know that we're not basing this thing on pure rankings though. So the key is to put him on a team where his weaknesses (and he does have them) aren't exposed.

Has anyone seen the movie "The Pistol"? Absolutely one of my all time favorite sports movies. Nice pick!

Thanks! As a 40 year old hoops fan, I would love to actually see the Pistol play with Bird. They are both basketball junkies, all-time talents.

Dirk was a steal. I was hoping no one hd picked him up.
His defense is underrated.

anyone looking to trade down?
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

I'm glad my pick was so controversial lol.

I had Dirk as at least a top 30 pick, and I think he plays best as long as he has a tough defensive big next to him like Duncan.

I've been in tons of these kinds of drafts. It's my experience that if you shorten the time limit, people pay attention more and the pace goes smoother. At this rate, it's basically one pick a day if you're lucky.

Well, I've noticed that there are about 10 owners who check in throughout the day, which is half the league. Then there are about 3-4 guys who I've only seen on here a few times since this has started. Next time we do this hopefully instead of first come first serve, the other half can be filled up with regulars so we know that things will go along nicely.

So considering we have technically gone through 33 picks in just over 35 hours, I'd say we are looking pretty good.

About an hour per pick is pretty good. And it'll get much faster once the time limit shortens in later rounds.

Yeah. Honestly, I was waking anyone that was interested this time around. I tried doing this twice before and I didn't get enough interest. Now that we are showing it will go smoothly and work well...we can be more selective next time around.

However, this is moving very well. 33 picks through 35 hours is really good. Especially in the early rounds when the clock runs long. The first couple rounds are where you see who is actually active. It seems like there are only a couple people that we will have to wait on to get picks in.

That being said...MAKE SURE YOU SEND A LIST if you step away from the computer for a little bit. By this I mean...if you are planning on going out for dinner, you won't be looking at the page, and you are 5 picks away...send a list. If it is only an hour away and you are that close, still send a list.

I would send a list, but i'm here all day and i check the draft in intervals of every hour or two.
