Do we get some trophy for having the most undersized PFs on our roster?
BBD - 6'8"
Osby - 6'8"
Maxiell - 6'7"
Harris (might see minutes at the 4) - 6'8"

Considering Nicholson and Harrington are still around we also might be able to set a record for most overall PFs... obviously something has to happen.

Maxiell is actually only 6'6" in shoes. He has the most insane reaches in the history of basketball relative to his height though. Osby is 6'7" in shoes.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

It is nice to see that he tends to throw or slam the ball through the hoop as apposed to laying it in there. He is indeed a beast. Glad he's here.

If this was Otis, he would of gotten a 4 year $20 million deal.

A true value signing by Rob.

Don't understand why he's here. Doesn't he just improve our record and take away time from AN and KOQ?

I like him as a player, but just not on this team.

two things, or both:
1) BBD will be heavily shopped
2) We no longer believe in AN or KOQ as big minute players

I think having him here to mentor KOQ and AN is a huge plus.

But why not replace BBD with a kid whose never had a chance before/limited role before - Malcolm Thomas or someone else?

because Maxiell is coming in cheap and you know he'll push guys in practice. He's the type of player that will beat guys up in practice, pushing guys around and giving 100% effort. Malcom Thomas may or may not make an NBA roster, Maxiell will play in NBA games. I'm all for getting youth but we have better youth on our team right now. No need to get more inexperienced players that won't affect our future (the reason DQJ was let go).

The O-Sen speculates that Maxiell will be the primary back-up Center in Orlando. Eh gads.

I think this is one of the reasons why he was brought in.

The main reason Pistons haters are glad to see him go is because Coaches have consistently had him taking minutes away from their young players bigs. That also shows his value to the coaching staff. But, at his age and experience of his career, I bet he will be used to help the youth.

Don't understand this singing that much but if it doesn't work out, it's a one year rental at best. Won't argue that.

He has a 7'3" wingspan and 8'11" standing reach. Plus he gave Dwight fits back in the day. I think he'll be fine.

I like this signing. Maxiell will be a nice backup.

I was not expecting them to sign a backup as good as Maxiell and with this, there is now no question (Not that there was not any before) that The Magic are really looking to move Glen Davis.

That is the only potential move I can see happening before the season starts.

Neither Jameer Nelson or Aaron Afflalo will be moved until it's decided where Victor Oladipo will play.

:o
6'6 with a 7'3 Wingspan!?
I think the only thing consistent with the guys that Hennigan likes is a huge wingspan

Andrew Nicholson-6'9 with a 7'4 wingspan.
Maurice Harkless- 6'8 with a 7'1 wingspan
Victor Oladipo-6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan
Kile O'quinn- 6'8 with 7'5 wingspan(wow! had no idea about this one)
Nikola Vucevic-7'0 with a 7'5 wingspan
Ronnie Price-6'1 with a 6'5.5 wingspan
Aaron Afflalo-6'5 with a 6'9 wingspan
Tobias harris 6'7.5 with a 6'11 wingspan
Etawaun Moore- 6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan

Even though he wasnt really aquired, I think its safe to assume that we were trying to get eric bledsoe who has a crazy wingspan of almost 6'8 despite being 6'1
There is also Eyenga whos 6'5 with over 7'1 wingspan.

what about the guys he traded/passed on?
JJ redick-6'4 with a 6'2 wingspan.
Ryan Anderson 6'9 with a 6'8 wingspan.

So I guess the first thing for us to check if someone is a "Hennigan guy" if to his wingspan.
Going by this logic, Marcus Smart should be a guy Hennigan really likes with his rumured 6'10-11 wingspan, while Julius Randle and Aaron Gordon may not be Hannigan guys with a pretty unimpressive wingspan compared to Wiggins, Smart and Parker.
