If our team is winning we'll have all stars. One follows the other, guys on bad teams really have to stuff stats to make an all star team, but guys on good teams is not necessarily the case. Look at Monroe last year, he put up a 17-10, if he did that while playing for Miami I'd have to believe he'd make the team.

I'll go with Smith. He's been snubbed in the past (esp 2012), and if he produces similarly, if we are in the playoff hunt, and the spotlight of his big FA signing, I think he will get in.

Then again, the East is loaded with SF, but I think they just select for frontcourt now instead of position, so he should have a chance as a sf/pf

Definitely Monroe or Drummond. With Monroe, a lot depends on if were winning.

If Drummond plays 30-35mpg, he will absolutely, without question be an ALL-STAR, and will have national commercials.

This is the first time, that I can remember in recent history, that I have no idea how many RPG a player is going to average, or how many BPG. If he gets consistant minutes, it could go to a level not seen in years. That and add in the fact that he has soft hands around the basket, unlike Big Bens brick mitts, and he could be adding 12-17PPG as well in those minuets.

I have already imagined a season where his stats are full insane;

14PPG
16RPG
3.5BPG
2.5SPG

Those numbers would put him at the front burner of NBA discussion.

I think I will change my vote to dre based on some of the comments,if the all star game is about flash mostly,and if dre comes out everynight and has espn clips of him dunking and blocking he will become a national favorite and you know stern can see a cash cow coming from miles away.
