Lebron was a sidekick in 2011 Finals...D Wade led and everyone else followed.

Since Lebron has become the man of this team.. he's delivering with the game on the line...and hitting all of the big shots (Asides the biggest one I've ever seen from RAY). I've never seen a choker rally a team to two back2back championships... I think he was just a total sidekick in 2011.

18/7/7 on 48% in 2011 Finals - Lebron
20/4/5 on 48% in the 2013 Finals - D Wade

At the very least Lebron in 2011 was as good as D Wade in this years Finals with two very different results...

lebron choked in 2011. only lebron homers would disagree...

Meh... a homer would pretend he was good that series. I've seen better sidekicks than 2011 Lebron is all I can say to that.

We have room for Oden, Dally and Mo if they wanted to come now.

Well in this case, Riley needs to start doing some work. If somehow, Riley manage to get all three of them, Heat would have a greater chance of 3-peating as long everyone stays healthy enough comes playoffs time.

PG-Chalmers/Cole
SG-Wade/Allen/Mo
SF-LeBron/Battier/Jones
PF-Bosh/Haslem/Lewis
C-Dalembert/Birdman/Oden

Unstoppable. Versatility, size, and the best all-around player in the league.

That would be awesome, the best part being Bosh goes back to his natural PF position.

I'd gladly take Mo if he wants to come, can never have enough shooters.

If LeBron is going to be considered the best player in the world and an MVP (which I'm pretty sure he is by most people), he doesn't get a pass for shrinking to the level of sidekick in 2011 (which only happened in one series anyways).

Winning the battle of 1 on 1 against Jason Kidd isn't going to get you a Finals MVP (or title). Thats not how basketball works...

I've seen better sidekicks than 2011 Lebron...so no pass here.

Isn't Mo injured pretty much every season? We might as well have kept Miller at that rate.

46 games 31 minutes - Mo
59 games 15 minutes - Miller

Rio and Cole are overrated on defense. Rondo murdered them last playoffs and Parker murdered them this playoffs. Also they can't guard Rose either, so why sit there and talk about how we would lose their defensive abilities if we started Mo when they have no defensive abilities against the top PGs which is who they face in the playoffs. Mo is much better than Rio and Cole.

Experts say otherwise. Who should i beleive, an NBA expert/analyst, or some random on a basketball forum? hmmmmmm......

Rio is very good at playing the passing lanes and forcing turnovers which our offense thrives on. Cole is pretty good at man D. No one is going to stop rondo or parker one on one, so make a better case than that.

Honestly, PG defense doesn't usually matter too much because hardly any of these guys can guard each other but Mo is so bad at containing penetration, it would really hurt us. Picture Mario getting torched by some quick guard and it's 10x worse with Mo.

Yea, mo will D is horrendous.

Mo and ray on the court at the same time would be suicide.

These are different critiques. Either you're critiquing him for playing horribly or you're critiquing him for not being the best player on his team. People love moving the goalposts.

Which experts?

Citation needed.
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.

We could find just as many experts who do think Cole/Chalmers are overrated defensively. Somebody has to be wrong

for the MMLE? sure.
he's not getting much more money at this point, not if he wants to play for a contender.

And when is people going to stop trying to put Bosh at PF?? if you want to keep Wade+James you need BOTH of your post players to be able to hit from outside, Dalembert won't start here.

If you let Wade go, then that's another story.

I think he's worth more than the vet min. but that's all he can get here. Hope he ends up a heater - will be good on the 2nd unit when Bron isn't.

Yup. Those Wade "only" units can look really ugly at times when he's forcing the issue and jacking up mid-range fallaways because the other guys on the court can't do anything on O. Mo will jack a few up too, but his ability to create for himself, create for teammates, and hit from outside would help Dwyane out a lot in that unit. Plus we'd finally get to see that Mo-Wade backcourt we dreamed of in '07.

As I said in another thread, I'm fine either way with this one. He'd be a good addition, but I also want to see Cole continue to grow.
