37-45
Nene will be healthier and better than he was last year but will still miss 15-20 games, and never again be the beast that was physically feared by his opponents in his younger days. Too bad, because we could really use that guy.
Wall will continue to improve incrementally but not enough to make the all star team or be a no brainer max contract player.
Porter will struggle early and often and there will be much hand wringing about whether we picked the wrong guy. He will take baby steps over the season like Beal did and finish with about 9 pts 5 rb and 1.5 assists per game.
The record above will leave us at 9th seed and get us a 2nd tier big man in the 2014 draft. Maybe McGary, maybe not.
Emeka Okafor will be resigned to a lucrative deal in the offseason, and Ernie Grunfeld and Ted Leonsis will pat themselves on the back and say, these are your Washington Wizards for the rest of the decade.

52-30.
Wizards are 16th in ORTG and 2nd in DRTG (106.0 ORTG, 101.5 DRTG). I'm actually fairly optimistic, because I'm really hoping we get MVP-caliber Wall all year.
John Wall averages 22 points per game, 10.5 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a block per game, and is in the MVP discussion.
Beal takes a step forward despite injury, Porter makes the all-rookie team, Rice doesn't make the team despite early season buzz filling in for Beal.
Nene stays healthy for most of the year.
Seraphin becomes a decent rotation-level big, and Booker stays reasonably healthy.

somehow I dont think Okafor and Nene will be healthy, and Porter wont help much, hes a rotation guy @ best mark my words; your looking @ Beal/Wall trying to do it all... Im hoping for a crap season, we need Otto to stink it up along with the bad season to FINALLY fire EG..

Pretty close to what I project.
Wall is going to beast this year. Same with Beal but Wall really goes off. Nene healthy. Gets some of his jumping ability back and starts to hit the mid range again. Webster picking up where he left off and actually take it a little farther. He will drive more. Trevor A looking good if he isn't traded. Specially going into a contract year. Booker healthy for the first time and provides nice energy and rebounding off the bench. I think he has learned what to do to stay healthy. Wall and Beal will get AS talk and maybe make it. Okafor just solid Okafor. Maynor will looks better as the back up PG then Price did. Temple matures a little more and people are happy we kept him. Kevin makes another step forward. He shots less from outside and bangs more inside. He starts to show he has discover he is a load and is learning to use it. Ves and Singleton have moments, but neither takes off. Singleton drives more and uses his increasing strong body. Glen Rice... I have no idea. He makes some 3. Not a huge factor. His just C Martins replacement.
What Otto does isn't really all that important, as long as they keep Trevor A. Anything he adds is gravy.

I fear that Grunfeld will be renewed before we find out the fate of this particular roster.

Re: Predict the Wizards Record '13-'14 season.
It's early but I think we win 43 games and get the 7 seed. We could be as high as 6th, but don't see us finishing any higher as Miami, Indiana, Chicago, Brooklyn, and New York will all be better barring catastrophe. We'll be among the teams fighting for the final three spots.
Wall will make the All-Star game. Beal and Porter will both be in the Rookie Game, and Beal will be in the 3 point contest.

I'm in no rush to give a number, realizing everyone can change theirs as well. But historically going lower than the board average is the way to go.

I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop (some random injury) before I make my real prediction. Sometimes the shoe drops during the summer (Kwame's broken foot), sometimes it happens right before training camp begins (Wall's stress injury) and sometimes it happens during camp (Haywood's wrist injury).

If I were predicting today, compared with others my pick would be extremely optimistic, right up there with AFM or maybe with JWiz and nuposse. (Nice way to tell what I'm thinking without giving the exact number).
However, I'm with Dat on this. I can't do it now. Something usually happens. Something not so good.

I tend to always predict optimistically. I figure one year, things should all come together. Just once. I think I'm putting my faith in a fallacy though, the probability of **** hitting the fan should be independent of each previous season in which **** hit the fan.
I think its reasonable to expect good things from Wall/Beal and at some point Porter. I think the uncertainty is with Booker and Nene's health and whether Jan and Seraphin just finally "get it."

I'm going with 46 wins. Without injury, I think they will do better than that, but I think the Wizards will have to work hard to get to 46 with the injuries they are likely to incur.

Well since I have us getting a 6 seed, I may need to up my 43 wins to about 46 or so. For now I'll stick with 43 though, and hope I end up being too low.
