PG seems like he could be even better than Kobe... IMO.

With our older point guards with Blake and Nash, I think it was a great signing. Now we won't have to worry about putting in the Duhons if they do get injured

Farmar will be making the minimum.

This and Nash had a injury riddled year. Not to mention Blake is the anti fish when it comes to being an iron man. Farmar very well could take the majority of the mins and spot

yeah it's very unlikely that neither Nash and Blake are going to play every game this year.

Which might be a blessing in disguise for us if this happens to be the case with Blake.

@Lakers: Farmar took a pay cut to be back with the Lakers, but is excited about the opportunity: "It feels very familiar. Almost like I never left."

@LakersReporter: Farmar: "I've been watching the Lakers since the moment I left. Just feeling that's where I belong, where I feel most comfortable."

@LakersReporter: Farmar's experience overseas helped him in one key area: playing a ton of pick and roll basketball. He didn't do so in the triangle.

@Lakers: Farmar spent a lot of his time overseas focusing on defense, "That's an area I really want to focus on & contribute this time around."

@Lakers: Farmar has been eying the Lakers, told his agents: "There's a lot of jobs out there in the NBA, but this is really where I want to be."

@LakersReporter: Farmar feels his D grew considerably in Europe due to the focus on that end from his coaches. Big emphasis on not getting beat.

One of the beat writers tweeted the other day that we aren't pursuing Mike Miller because the front office feels like we're set at SF with Nick Young, Wesley Johnson, and Kobe...

I was hoping we signed a veteran to start at the 3 and brought Nick Young off the bench to backup Kobe when he gets healthy.

If we wanted an old washed up vet to start at SF, we'd have kept Metta.

I didn't say I hope we sign a veteran to start at SF for $7 million.

Why pay $7 million to amnesty Metta to replace him with an even worse veteran at SF. We amnestied Metta right after we signed Nick Young. We replaced Metta with youth and athleticism.

Seems like Jordan grew up a lot, his main reason for being detached from the fam was his inability to adapt to solid coaching. He fought the system, the coached and sometimes wouldn't listen to even Kobe. But I believe in second chances for some, I never wanted to see Jordan leave anyway. But it was one of those things where he had to go.

I think Farmar would thrive in D'Antoni's offense if it all goes well. But has his defense gotten any better is the key.
