Dallas waived Bernard James...

Post#1 » by Kilo » Sat Jul 20, 2013 7:17 pm

2012 33rd overall pick - he's the career military guy who entered the draft at 27yo. 6'10", near 250lbs, Dallas wanted to keep him but needed his contract money to sign Ellis - hope he is unclaimed so they can re-sign him later.

I assume we have $800K in cap room if we wanted him. Would be a cheap back-up big. More than the money though is the roster spot I guess.

Unless we do a 3 for 1 somewhere no. But would love him as a 15th man.

Is he really? What evidence do we have? They both sound like 3rd string centers to me.

James has played meaningful minutes in the nba and proven himself capable, Kravtsov - not so much.

While Kravstov has Ewing potential, Bernard James' career arc will be more similar to Olajuwon's. Maybe we could deal Kravstov for a couple lottery picks and then sign Bernard James. That's pretty much the dream scenario right there.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

So was Andre Drummond. You think that kid had NBA potential?

James did rebound 35% more and block twice add many shots per minute as Kravtsov. But yeah they'd both be on the pine.

Well considering the logic of this board dictates that any success this team had last year was meaningless (i.e. people who like to cry about something called "meaningless wins") there's no way James played meaningful minutes on a lottery team last year.

I like him but there is simply no room. He won't make enough of an impact to be worth while. I'd rather have Slava cause he's 7 feet.

Pistons fans petition the NBA to allow 30 man rosters. When it goes thru, I might consider this guy to be my 27th man.

Loved him in college, but Slava is being paid guaranteed money, and for that, he's not being cut.

Yeah I don't get it. For the last 2-3 years every player that's cut a thread is made on em saying we should get him.
