The Nets Board Top 25 players - #1

Post#1 » by therealbig3 » Mon Jul 22, 2013 9:10 am

Apologies to NyCe, who usually starts and maintains this list, but I'm extremely bored and figured it's a good time to start this list, since basketball is dead right now. NyCe, feel free to take over with #2 onwards, if you want.

Base your voting on a combination of last season, the player's ability, and how you think they'll play next season.

Give a vote, and a nomination for a candidate that will be included for the next voting. And try to give some reasoning to your vote if you can, as the whole point of this is for discussion.

Candidates for #1

LeBron James

Kevin Durant

Tempted to say Durant because I think he'll win MVP, but its Lebron.

Nominate Dwight.

Vote LeBron hands down.

Nominate the Truth as STILL Top 25 based on his indisputably All Pro numbers after the ASG last season/Rondo went down (48.5%, 42.5%, 6.2 RPG, 5.6 APG, multiple Trip Dubs, TS% & PER off the charts) - which I believe will remain outstanding at age 36 because 1) his incredibly well rounded game has never depended on freakish, age-dependent athleticism; and 2) hopefully his pinched cervical nerve on shooting side has been dealt with successfully.

Also nominate DWill as Top 25 based on his super-sterling, elite play in 2012-2013 after his ankles "got healthy." He is the quintessential PG - playmaking, penetrating, shooting from distance, size, strength etc. Deron is the most important player on the current version of the "Paul Pierce Nets."
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Gotcha chief. I'll start with #2.

Vote: LBJ
Nominate: D12

Once we get to 6 votes for LBJ (which should happen by the end of the day lol), I'll start the 2nd thread.

EDIT: We're already at 6 so I'll start creating the next thread.
